So, basically the Russian ships in the area are there to start war...starting with the Ottomans (turkey)?

This ships not for starting war. If need destroy Turkey SAMS it can made our planes with missiles.

And war with Turkey mean war with NATO. Not remember about.

So if not preparation for war (or a militant action), then why the gunships and tanker? If the Russian aircraft are capable of taking out NATO as you have stated, then they should be capable of protecting a rescue of a few citizens.

Warships need for defend agains Israel submarines and surface ships with planes during evacuation. As all know in this year Israel submarines sunk 3 ships and we not wish, that Israel submarines sink ship(-s) with russian peoples evakuert from...

Planes can not defend civilian ships during evacuation.

Those ships are not civilian ships.

Partly. So if evakuations start Russia use civilian ships. And this ship need defend.

So Novocherkassk and Saratov aren't warships? These are the ones claimed being sent in to rescue people, along with an assortment of other warships.

There might be a handful of Russian Citizens in Gaza, but there are many thousands in Sderot a few klicks away.

However, somehow i do not think that these ships are coming here to evacuate Russian Jews (and Christians) from Israel, that would be most interesting.

Gaza is tiny, and it is difficult for foreigners to get into, I would be extremely suprised if there were even 50 Russian citizens in Gaza, more likely they are sending 1 ship for each of them.....

Warships of Russian Black Sea Fleet are ordered to stay in the eastern part of the Mediterranean Sea
MOSCOW: Fulfilling orders, a convoy of warships of the Russian Black Sea Fleet arrived in the eastern part of the Mediterranean Sea for a possible evacuation of Russian citizens from the Gaza Strip in case of an escalation of the Palestinian-Israeli armed conflict, a source in the High Command of the Russian Navy told Itar-Tass on Friday.
“The guards missile-carrying cruiser Moskva and the big landing ship Saratov have arrived in the designated area already on November 20, the border patrol ship Smetlivy and the big landing ship Novocherkassk joined the foresaid warships 1-2 days later, after the refuelling from the big sea tanker Ivan Bubnov. The full convoy of the warships of the Black Sea Fleet arrived in the eastern part of the Mediterranean Sea in order to evacuate Russian citizens from the Gaza Strip in case of escalation of the Palestinian-Israeli conflict,” the Russian naval source said.
“It is not ruled out that our warships will be assigned for another combat mission in case of deterioration of the regional situation,” the source in the High Command of the Russian Navy told Itar-Tass. However, the source did not specify what mission in concrete can be set for Russian warships.

This is it.. the point of no return. There are way too many egos in close proximity of each other & a mind numbingly silent media.. This is the tactical equivalent of turning the lights out in the middle of a Mexican stand off.

This will not end well..

This is about as much about "evacuation" as the USA fleet turn-around was..

The next headline will be the US helps tow broken down Russian Warships back to port.
