Quoting: Lada D Probably, but I hope not. :) But I think the OP's thread title should be "Manhood and Womanhood Defined by a Book's Author, Using Selected Passages from the Bible to Support His Personal Point of View." The test of character is how you're willing to treat someone when you are absolutely certain that you are right. |

Quoting: Life and Love Are you a woman? Your logic seems similar to Finnish women. No. But I was able to visit Helsinki years ago. There is, also, a lack of understanding about one gender desiring to have equal access to the things they can do and enjoy as the other that has nothing to do with trying to make them "equal" in ways that no one enjoys with respect to the other. A number of posts indicate the real deal with the issue when it is asked if women should have been or should be granted certain things which suggests, still, that the power resides in men to do this. That negates that as human beings we are all granted to pursue those things which anyone else is and to fail or not according to our abilities, not our specific gender. For anyone to submit in the manner that Jesus asks, it is for men and women to do according to how they themselves desire to offer that. Jesus told men to love their wives as Jesus loves His church, not to beat into submission those who fail in this nor for the men to beat their wives into submission. It means nothing if it is not offered from ourselves. Men historically have not loved their wives as Jesus has told them and women finally got tired of it. Until we both do as He has said we are in trouble but for men who think as so many do on this site that it is their choice to tell women whAt they can and cannot do nothing will ever change. |
