1. Saint Bede

:St Bede:

who is also known a St John Divine, John the Scot and ohannes Scotus Eriugena - The name Saint Bede comes from his paternal side who was the family of St Baithen (Baedan) or Baitan Mor. This Baedan was a Scot and an Irish King. I wrote about St Baithen (Baedan) in my article The Origins of the Tribe of Dan – Part 1 where I detail how King Baedan is the allegorical Jacob of the bible who then became the founding father of Israel. The Irish Annals record the death of Baedan MacCoirill, King of Ulster, and a naval expedition at the same year, 580 (An. Ult.; O’Conor).

2. Noel Beda - Beda, Natalis (or Noel), a French theologian, was a native of Picardv, being born in the diocese of Avranches near the close of the 15th century. He was principal of the College of Montaign, at Paris, in 1502; and syndic of the faculty of theology about 1520. He was opposed to all and every kind of reform. In 1521 he obtained from the Sorbonne a condemnation of the writings of J. F. Stapulensis. He chiefly distinguished himself by his opposition to the wish of the king, Francis I., to obtain the sanction of the Sorbonne to the divorce of Henry VIII of England. So far did Beda carry matters, that he was arrested in 1530, condemned to make the amende honorable in the Church of Notre-Dame, and was sent prisoner to Mont SaintMichel, where he died in the following year.

Pierre Bedard - lawyer, politician, journalist, and judge; b. 13 Sept. 1762 in Charlesbourg (Que.), son of Pierre-Stanislas Bédard and Marie-Josephte Thibault; d. 26 April 1829 in Trois-Rivières, Lower Canada. Pierre-Stanislas Bédard was the first to achieve fame in a family which had taken root in the St Lawrence valley by the 17th century. His ancestor Isaac Bédard, a master carpenter from the Aunis region in France, came to New France before 1660.Pierre-Stanislas Bédard, whose name is closely linked with the birth of political parties in Lower Canada and of Quebec nationalism, was the first person in the British empire to formulate in a coherent manner the theory of ministerial responsibility. He died in Trois-Rivières on 26 April 1829. His wife outlived him and died on 20 Feb. 1831.
