Anyone Know a Way to Make Shavers Last Longer?

Buy the cheap double bladed by Galette. If you cant make those last two or three shaves. you are doing something wrong.

Use them only every 2nd or third day like I do.

This is not my idea but it works. Read somewhere that you could keep your disposable razor sharp if you'd run it a few timesdown some blue jean material (like you were sharpening a knife). I use a dry hand towel. Put some tension on it and run the blade 5 or 6 times up the towel at an angle that will bring the blade in contact with the towel and it will sharpen the blade. It may have something to do with throughly drying the blade, too, but it works. I've tried using cheepy blades but they don't hold an edge. Using quality blades I can easily make a blade last 2+ months before i treat myself to a new blade. It works. Be patient and use a bit of preasure pulling the towel down on the towel rack and up on the razor.

Rinse out your razor really well when done, and try to dry it as much as possible to prevent oxidation. I've been using Wilkinson Sword lately. They are cheap, smooth (don't pull), and last longer than those many times more expensive.

If the razor is all metal construction you can leave it to soak in 40% Vodka when you're not using it....makes blades last 4 times longer...FACT...google it, the Russians know this trick very well.

Buy a safety razor. I paid about 20 bucks for the handle, and 15 bucks for 200 blades.
