another superb way of teachings of how to be balanced...mostly not easy understood by the "westerners".

Isn't it just great to discover how many teachings have been brought to the people to show the way?

Seriously. It is lost.

Remember when someone's word was enough to bind them. A handshake.

Now, it is glazed eyes staring back at you. Rules that are put in place do not mean a thing if someone dislikes what you say.

Promises are fantasies espoused with deaf ears on the one's proclaiming them.

Integrity and its surrounding ideology are so lost in our world that we lie and twist words so often we have become accustom to it.

I made a promise to myself about 4 or so years ago to never tell a lie. It started as just an experiment to truly see how much I 'fibbed' and 'white-lied'. It was amazing. I found myself being disingenuous all the time. For my own pride (?). Among other things I suppose. But, to not make anyone think 'worse' of me or to not get in any 'trouble'. And, even to make sure my spouse or children wouldn't get angry with me. etc, etc.

Spend one week...no, spend one month not telling a lie, even a small one, and see what happens to yourself. Every time you tell one, even a small one, be AWARE of it and ask yourself why you had to lie, and if it was really worth it. And, WHY WAS IT WORTH IT?

I was finding out where all my faults lie, and I was on a pace to fix all those things, to be genuine, to show others who I am and not what I wanted them to see.

Then, about 2 years later, I find myself in a small corporate type environment. And, since I was wholly conscious of any 'lie' that came out of my mouth, I realize it was wholly necessary to lie in order to keep the job or do 'work'.

Integrity does NOT drive the system. The system thrives on disingenuity to prosper. It is inherent in our systems. Politicians, and business, commercial advertisements, loans, collections, elections, family stability and societal acceptance and keeping up with the Jones'.

Do it.

Make a week out of it.

Make a month out of it.

See how long your integrity lasts. Then, when you realize what I am saying is truth, don't point your damn finger at anyone. Instead, realize that we are all in this together, and start fixing it.

Start fixing it with yourself.

The thing I find so strange about Christians is the fact that they are so incredibly gullible. They never question anything. As long as a Christian tells them something...it just HAS to be true.

Dinosaurs walked on earth with people and they nod their silly little heads. Pat Robertson sits in a chair and talks to God directly and they get teary eyed. Some other charlatan knocks people over by his touch and they believe these people are miraculously healed. The earth is 6,000 years old and they could not care less what age the earth REALLY is. They tell them that they found Noah's ark and they get all excited...and now this crap about Sodom and Gomorrah.

I am quite sure that a NON-Christian would examine this evidence and come to a completely different conclusion. Maybe the area was hit by a meteor? Maybe the Christian archeologist made up all this evidence? Add to that the fact that absolutely no one really knows where Sodom and Gomorrah were, let alone if they ever existed.

So while the Christians try to tell you that a big star, way up in the sky, led some men to a stable or some donkey had a long conversation with his master on some dusty road or how demons invaded a herd of pigs and they jumped off a cliff or how a man lived in a fish for three days or how another man walked out of the grave while smelling of death or how the sun stood still so some man could win a battle, I, personally, just wish they all could grow up. They are like little children...still clinging to Santa Claus.

What many of you will deny but what all of you need to hear, once again.
I understand the need for you to find entertainment. To dabble in fantasy and live on the brink of extinction.

But that part of you doesn't work any more. You are being watched, your egos are clearly evident and your foolishness is on display for the watchers to use as a training tool for themselves. You are the example of what NOT to do. Meanwhile, you are left behind, unknowingly existing in a world where your words and your thoughts literally shape your experience.

This place is no good for you and deep down you know it. You must move beyond it. All the real knowledge you have been looking for you have already found. You know this because you remembered that the answers to existence were buried behind your own mental complexities; those personality traits and conditionings that only a life where material gain and a lack of compassion for others is positively reinforced.
So let's go. Let's go together.
