Nothing more. Why people buy into the hype in order to save a few bucks on a tv or IPad is beyond me. It's a fool's errand. Stay home and load the CD player with Christmas music, drink spiced (or spiked) cider, sort through your Christmas decorations, and make pot pies out of leftover turkey. It makes for a much more enjoyable day. |

They advertise deals on much coveted items, stock a few hundred, encourage people to start lining up at their doors a day or two in advance, and hype it all. Blame also consumers who join in. Certainly everyone loves a good deal but it has really gotten out of hand. And now the latest offense of opening on Thanksgiving, denying their employees their family time and encouraging shoppers to deny theirs. The stores would go to such extremes if there were not so many willing and stupid shoppers who eagerly participate in the frenzy. |
