She's in pain.

The litter box scared her because she felt pain while she was near it.

She needs help. How do you expect her to express discomfort to you? Email? Sticky note?

She's a CAT.

Being impatient with her because you are unable to communicate with her is tragically sad.

Call an after hours vet or at the very least take her to the vet on Saturday.

If you ignore this, you shouldn't have pets at all.

OMG...hello Mr./Miss Judgmental. It has only been 5 hours. She isn't rolling around the floor in convulsions. Her eyes are clear and she doesn't have an elevated temperature (YEAH..I checked...but I don't give a crap right?). She ate her damn food and hasn't thrown up.

I didn't post for a medical diagnosis. I wanted to see if anyone else was seeing odd behavior TODAY from their pets.

Yes OP, I live in southeastern PA - not near you, but there was a small minor EQ in New Jersey last evening, not too far from me - unusual area, even though it was small.

My cats are hovering in the bathroom constantly the last 24 hours - all three of them. One is sitting on the toilet lid, one is in the sink and the other is precariously perched on the edge of the bathtub. I have to literally pick the one up off the toilet to use it (sorry TMI) and within minutes of my leaving the bathroom he is right back on the toilet again. Strangely they are not laying in there sleeping, they are sitting there, eyes wide open like they are on watch. This bathroom is in the center of my house and is a small bathroom.

There was a small EQ in Missouri about the same time as the NJ small EQ late last night...not right on top of you but close enough.

I have never seen my cats do anything like this. Even though cats are pack animals, mine don't seem to care if they are sleeping or resting with the others....this is really very weird for them. Also the toilet sitter becomes very upset if the two younger ones leave the bathroom and try to make them come back...crying like he is calling them and won't stop until they come back.
