If you don't want to do military consider the North Dakota suggestions. From what I hear its one of the few booming places in the US now, with all the new oil drilling going on up there. Even if you don't want to work on an oil rig, wherever there is oil money there are plenty of other jobs and business opportunities. Everything from restaurant and bar work to driving trucks...if you are more stuidious type you could tutor kids, etc...go where the money is. Just get the fuck out of your current situation, sounds toxic.
