America for a few years now. Do you even know the definition of the term "recession" as it applies to economics? Apparently not. Leading indicators are looking up, housing is improving, the DOW/S&P are doing great, Europe has done an OK job of managing their situation, China is coming in for a soft landing (oh no! ONLY 7%+ growth this year!) I think things are really going to start turning around over the next year or two. Now, that does not mean that you 'murrican lunkheads are gonna be back making $50 an hour with great benefits and pension plans for doing unskilled monkey-work mind you, but improvement is on its way. |

The mall was not crowded. Walmart was not even as full as it is on a typical Saturday. Costco was fairly dead. The roads were not crowded and as far as the biggest shopping day of the year, I did not see it. This year is a bust for the retailers. I have seen the stores much more packed. No one has any money. Really, no one has any money. Least not normal people. |

Win win. Only sour note being the little one is a bit overweight and doc says diabetes is a forgone conclusion at this point.
