SOLID PROOF that until around 2007 people were claiming the End of the World would happen on SUNDAY, December 23, 2012 (and not Dec 21)
I'm tired of this bullshit about the "End of the World" happening on Friday, December 21, 2012.

This is BULLSHIT, because I can remember VERY WELL that until around the year 2007, EVERYONE was talking about SUNDAY, December 23, 2012 as the end date.

And I can prove it with LINKS!

Look:

"The Maya say the solar system rotates around Alcyone in a 26,000 period. The end of this period is Dec 23, 2012 and is supposed to be the birth of Venus."

source: [link to www.greatdreams.com]

Also, look at THIS, posted on Apr 11 2004:

[link to www.unexplained-mysteries.com]

And THIS question posted on Yahoo Answers in 2005:

[link to answers.yahoo.com]

Also, check this text posted on January 13, 2006 in the about.com website:

Scroll down until you find a comment posted on December 7, 2007 by "C Dub" that says:

The Mayan calendar is divided into Seven Ages of Man. The fourth epoch ended in August 1987. The Mayan calendar comes to an end on Sunday, December 23, 2012. Only a few people will survive the catastrophe that ensues. In the fifth age, humanity will realize its spiritual destiny.

SO, who invented this bullshit about December 21st?

I remember VERY WELL how people used to talk about December 23rd 2012, and not December 21st!

Who changed that?

So, if Dec 22 comes with no doom, it doesn't mean we are safe yet?

Makes sense...

If the 3 days of darkness start on December 21st, then the 3 days will be:

- December 21

- December 22

- December 23

At the end of December 23, the 3 days of darkness ends, and the Armageddon begins...

If you actually believe that the world is ending in December you are a very gullible person...

Most Mayanist scholars, such as Mark Van Stone and Anthony Aveni, adhere to the "GMT (Goodman-Martinez-Thompson) correlation" with the Long Count, which places the start date at 11 August 3114 BC and the end date of b'ak'tun 13 at 21 December 2012.[155] This date is also the overwhelming preference of those who believe in 2012 eschatology, arguably, Van Stone suggests, because it falls on a solstice, and is thus astrologically significant. Some Mayanist scholars, such as Michael D. Coe, Linda Schele and Marc Zender, adhere to the "Lounsbury/GMT+2" correlation, which sets the start date at 13 August and the end date at 23 December. Which of these is the precise correlation has yet to be conclusively settled

Anybody familiar with Terrence McKenna's "time wave zero" theory...his calculations resulted in an end date of dec 21st 2012, however on his death bed he told his sister that TWZ was wrong.

Mulder and Scully arrive at Anasazi ruins to find a "wise man" who they believe can make sense of the classified documents Mulder has read. They discover the so-called "wise man" is none other than The Smoking Man (William B. Davis), who is hiding to survive the colonization—an event that will happen on December 21, 2012, the predicted end of the world. Outside, Reyes and Doggett arrive and fight Rohrer, who has been sent to kill Mulder and The Smoking Man. Rohrer is killed when the magnetite in the ruins affects his superhuman body. Switching cars with Mulder and Scully, Doggett and Reyes drive off. Black helicopters destroy the cliff dwellings—and The Smoking Man within—before giving chase to the wrong car. Doggett and Reyes are last seen speeding away with the helicopters in pursuit.
