I can say with 100% certainty, that ALL of the world's problems are caused by people doing things OTHER than seeking enlightenment.
The things you desire are all distractions from the actual goal of life, which is the become enlightened.
Only then can you know the MEANING of life, which is different for every person.
Having reached that point, you will see that most of the things you strive for and desire are nothing but pain and wasted time.
This goal is reached by meditation, which is very simple when you take 10 minutes per day to do it.
Here is a short and clear video for sheeple to learn this. Not my video, but I recently found it and thought it was a good presentation.
