My "Black Friday"
While others fought the crowds in the stores...

I stayed home all day with my family. We ate leftovers from yesterday, played Christmas music and put up the Christmas decorations - my 3 boys (ages 8, 5 and 1) LOVED it. I turned off the cell phones, no TV - just family time.

Thank you.

I think Black Friday is just ridiculous, even if there wasn't the crowds/fights every year. It's the day after Thanksgiving - why not just stay home and relax after traveling to family's houses, cooking, etc.? Is it really worth getting up that early and being a part of the chaos just to save a few bucks? I just don't get it. I have 3 boys, and on top of Christmas their birthdays are this time of year too (Dec. 10th, Dec. 26th and Jan. 25th, and my hubby's is Jan. 9th). - so I DO understand needing to get all the shopping done, and doing it while saving where you can, but we just start early - in August, and by November we're more or less done. Much easier, less stressful, and allows me to ENJOY this time of year.
