I think Black Friday is just ridiculous, even if there wasn't the crowds/fights every year. It's the day after Thanksgiving - why not just stay home and relax after traveling to family's houses, cooking, etc.? Is it really worth getting up that early and being a part of the chaos just to save a few bucks? I just don't get it. I have 3 boys, and on top of Christmas their birthdays are this time of year too (Dec. 10th, Dec. 26th and Jan. 25th, and my hubby's is Jan. 9th). - so I DO understand needing to get all the shopping done, and doing it while saving where you can, but we just start early - in August, and by November we're more or less done. Much easier, less stressful, and allows me to ENJOY this time of year. Amy Wood Proud mother, wife, student and homemaker. Quoting: amywood71605 I stayed home all day with my family. We ate leftovers from yesterday, played Christmas music and put up the Christmas decorations - my 3 boys (ages 8, 5 and 1) LOVED it. I turned off the cell phones, no TV - just family time. How fun and good for you and your family.. we put up the tree at my parent's yesterday, Going to try and get some of my Christmas stuff out today..it's been a nice Thanksgiving.. |
