Strictly speaking, this is true. Many libertarians want a very minimal governmental apparatus that simply protects people's rights, defends the territory and enforces contracts (the contract being the basis of a civilized society).

Cheers, its like UKIP are becoming the collective thorn in the establishments side. They are having an impact on all three parties now.

They are not a perfect political party by any means, but i'm willing to give them a shot, its gotta be better than the other 3 bunches of clowns.

This country needs a lot of work, probably massive spending cuts to welfare to control labours massive social spending, the armed forces need fixing, the economy needs fixing.

If UKIP even have a chance within the next decade they need to figure out how to reverse what the other parties have done because if this country carries on there wont be much left in ten years.

I'm a Libertarian here in the US, and there has been a full campaign to demonize those of us who are socially liberal but fiscally conservative

A Christian couple recently lost their High Court case to foster children. They were deemed to be unacceptable as foster parents because they refused to sign their local councils statement that homosexuality would be promoted as an acceptable lifestyle practice in their household. It did not matter if the children were aged five and the topic was never brought up as an issue - what mattered was that they woul not agree to the government's religious view - that homosexuality is morally correct. Many Christian foster parents are pointing out the hypocrisy that homosexual fosterers are actively being recruited to raise straight children, no matter if they are Muslim, witches, professing pagans and wiccans. These are all protected. Just not Christian and Biblical morality. What is actually being highlighted by this recent case is that the government has it's own morality, and is insisting that the populace abide by it or face the consequences.
