I'm confused, why would we suddenly add years to the Mayan calendar? I thought it was decided it would end dec 21 2012 on the Gregorian calendar. If we are in the year 2004, wouldn't it just be Dec 21 2004?
Quoting: Anonymous Coward 28189926 Yes if they computed the time and synced it with the gregorian then it is way off and I believe that is what they did Quoting: Neim-Ya'shar No... nooooooo no... you just don't seem to understand. They are both separate instances of time calculation. They are not codependent. One was made up by kings, the other is based on observable astronomy. I know you won't even take time to try to even step out of your dogmas and really put in the effort to understand what I mean. Maybe if I dumb it down a bit and use easy words and examples? mommy went to work on the bus, daddy took the car. They both have to be in at 9am. Both will be on different routes but they will both arrive at 9am. mommy left a bit early because the bus takes a bit more time. daddy was able to finish his coffee because the car goes faster. Is it easier now?
