The other day my wife asked me what I bought that cost $503. That much had come out of our bank account. I didn't buy anything and I told her so. She did some checking and our health insurance - GoldenRule - on its own decided that it needed a raise, so it raised our premium from $383 to $503, without asking us and without notifying us. Of course, GoldenRule said they did notify us - but if they did, we'd know about it.

I just was on the internet applying for new health insurance and they all want our checking account information. I don't do that - I don't give that information to strange computers - so I instantly was rejected from two different plans.

So because I can't get past the handover of all my financial information to a computer I have never even seen, let alone kissed, and because we just can't afford health insurance that high, we are going to go without. Any suggestions as to what we should do with the extra $503 a month? Put it into good healthy food? Gym plan? Or, invest it in stocks/bonds?
