oh, and for the record 'cause I just read another post..and believe me I dont want to debate Union vs. Non-Union..but some departments (such as Environmental Services--people that clean up the trash, mop the floors, clean the bathrooms--and Food Services) belong to the union and are still required to get the shot..so being with a union doesnt spare you..at least in all the systems of which I'm aware...

This is tragic! What a sad world we live in...we have GOT to stand against this monster before they require it in order to vote, check out library books, get aboard airplanes, trains, etc...it really isn't that far fetched if you think about it...

Our hospital is the ground zero test of whether they can require all employees to get the flu shot or get fired. If the Union fails we expect all the other hospitals to fall like dominos. This is the last week where everyone is supposed to get the vaccine. I'm so pissed as a family member who has worked there 10 years is in this squeeze.

We're losing the right to choose what someone injects into our body and this is bloody scary for multiple reasons. What if it's a bad batch? What if the person injected develops health problems as a result where their immune system also becomes impaired? Who pays for this person's health care? Putting good employees out of work because they refuse this draconian edict is nuts.

I read the gazillion comments on the article and were mostly against the hospital which is why the hospital certainly asked them to take the comments down.

The public certainly got the message that 150 mostly nurses have so little trust in the vaccine that they are willing to lose their jobs over it!

So will the hospital employ them from April through September?

How much do you want to bet that interviews and applications for employment will ask, "Have you ever refused an immunization."

I am 100% against Union Organization now. Fuck the people. You better do what the company tells you to do and if you don't, they need to fire your ass. There are plenty of others who want your job and ready to kiss ass, so hit the road jack.

If one gets the nasal spray with the live virus instad of an injection (sprays nose with colloidal silver before and after) perhaps it can be killed at the onset.

Any company that requires it's employees to get a flu shot needs to be sued. That would stop this stupid & dangerous trend. Unless I signed a waiver at the time I started with an employer saying I agreed to get a flu shot each year, I would absolutely NOT be threatened into getting one.

I have had one flu shot in my life, that was the year I got really ill from the flu!!!!!! I was sick for more than 2 months. I vowed never to take anther one & I have not. And, never will.

Where are all the attorneys when we need them?????
