I think it's sad that you reject your sister in law's son just because he is gay. I am not pro homo, I think they are here, what do you want to do? do you want to exterminate them? Quoting: Anonymous Coward 27330681 I think it is sad to reject anyone just for political ideas, because in some countries people get killed for their ideas. He didn't choose who he is,why reject him? Yes, he did choose to be gay. You see that it the problem with you acceptance folks. You accept everything even though it is detrimental to society. |

Everyone makes their own choices. He made his and you made yours.I dont see anything wrong with the choice you made and I think its wrong for people to fuk with you about it.If i dont like or agree with something,I dont give a shit what anyone says and if "they" dont like it,thats ok,just"dont like it" somewhere else.... However this IS your family, can you at least get along for the holiday festivities and leave it at that? Quoting: Anonymous Coward 13158115 No. The way of life of my children is at stake. I will no longer tolerate "rats in the treeline." good for you opie,i am sick to death of being a" hater"whenever i disagree with so many people family or not.don't have enough time left to listen to their shit, cutting em all loose. You can hate all the folks you want, but beware of unintended consequences...one day soon, you may look around and find yourself all alone. |

Anonymous Coward User ID: 28441339 United States 11/25/2012 08:07 AM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | This makes sense. Conservatives can't stand anyone smarter than they are, or that is different. Quoting: Anonymous Coward 551387 Their fear controls everything they do and they can't understand, or tolerate, anyone that is scary to them. We can allow for fear of homosexuals, since they might want to have sex with you. That's a fear response, but a rational one, if you aren't very bright. Big gays would then, no doubt, be scarier... Of course the other half of the problem there is that the fear may also be internally generated, then misplaced. Conservatives that fear they might be homosexual, or at least attracted to other men, will often turn these feelings to disgust and anger, trying to mask their own internal fear. People on the left make the choices that aren't fear responsive. Giving money to those in need for instance, threatens a conservative, who will fear there won't be enough for them, or that it will take things away from them in the form of taxes. Liberals are more likely to realize that those taxes won't really harm them. So on and so forth. Your sister in law is probably a bit left leaning too, so when she saw a problem she called to deal with it. You on the other hand chose to come to a posting board and seek reassurance that you weren't in the wrong. Conservative doesn't mean coward, but it does tend to mean a person responsive to fear input. If you ask ten conservative walking down a dark alley what they need, most will respond that they need a gun. Ask ten liberals and most will ask for a light to be turned on. I must be more middle of the road then. A gun with a tactical light. |

Don't be spouting that crap! Not one gay has EVER been born that way! Claiming that they can't help it is no better than saying that a pedophile can't help wanting children as sexual partners. It is all bullshit! When are you going to stand up and claim that raping kids is okay with you as well because they can't help themselves! It is not just a question of political opinions. It is also a level of respect. If a gay wants me to respect them, then they need to show the same level of respect to me. DO NOT ever come to me and lie to my face about how it is not your fault for being what you are. You made yourself. You want me to respect your opinion, then show respect for mine. If you refuse to respect others because they think you are full of shit, you might want to look at yourself first. You just might be full of shit! |

Start filling his head with some of GLP's COOLEST conspiracies! Either he will shun you (and then you can start bugging your sister-in-law about how "her son" won't have anything to do with you), or you'll hit it off and start reveling in the End Times Conspiracy Doom like we do! It's a win/win. Go for it, Uncle! |

Anonymous Coward User ID: 1598714 Canada 11/25/2012 09:25 AM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | One of my brothers is gay, and he said he knew he was different from a young age, before he had any sexual thoughts, like 6 years old. He seeems very straight, grounded and down to earth to the average person....but he is attracted to men. He was born that way. All of you who deny this, are wrong. Gay people are not destroying families. Straight people are doing that very well on their own, with an iver 50% divorce rate. Being "gay" does happen in nature as well. Ask any farmer. Just like in humans. It is a small percentage, but it does happen. The course of action, is to have compassion. Being born gay is a hard road to travel. It is not an easy journey, especially when there are guys like the op who are filled with vitriole due to ignorance. We need more compassion in general. |
