Quoting: truth 1111 27834799 When I was young, under times of stress, this would happen. I would wake up, and not be able to move, then somehow, get up out of my body by forcing it, walk around the room, with what seemed like a giant rubber band connecting me to my body. I would get sucked back in if i lost concentration. This freaked me out so I stopped doing it. I have had one demonic experience during this. I woke in a cave, which looked to be underground, very deep. I walked through the cave and saw a giant demon in the wall, sitting on a type of chair carved out of the rackface iteself. It asked me what I was doing there, and that this was "His" realm. I told it I didnt know why I was there. He just looked at me, amused... told me his name, and then I woke up. I dont remember his name, but I did write it down somewhere. I want to know the name, search it now!! |

I never managed to have a dream-induced one, so I'm gonna keep on working with that scary stuff. Quoting: Anonymous Coward 28387288 Cool :) I'm by no means an expert, but I have had a few dream-induced OBEs. If you find yourself lucid within a dream, you might try consciously requesting to awaken in the astral. I've also read that you can try spinning around within the dream and that will get you onto the astral plane as well, but I've never done it successfully. As for scary things, yeah.. They can suck. I dealt with a lot of it as a kid, and had no clue what was going on. But, when you stop letting things scare you (realizing they can't harm you, and aren't "real"), they lose their power over you, and you can eventually ignore anything you don't want to focus on. |

I have them most nights if I open my eyes in the dark when I'm close to the sleep state. For me its always spiders, all kinds, many made up forms. These hallucinations happen for many people with sleep disorders or interrupted sleep patterns. I've spoken with some 'professionals' about it and they have a good explanations for why they occur, but they can't really explain the content of the hallucinations. Why spiders?? I dont know, but I know its a common one... Used to scare the crap out of me and my wife would get rather pissed off when I'd jump out of bed in the middle of the night trying to squash all the spiders!! Now I just make sure I don’t open my eyes once the lights go out and I never see them:0). Also, I have sleep apnoea so my quality of sleep isn’t great. Maybe you should look into that?? Lastly, this isn't uncommon (I think it affects about 1 in 1000 people), you're not going mad!!!! |

Quoting: Anonymous Coward 28366460 We are in the middle of spiritual war, between God and Satan If you want to know how to be safe of these demons, read Bible and go to a church, talk with a priest. There is a way to get safe of demons in the name of Jesus Christ. The demons FEAR the name of Jesus Christ!!! Last time I tried talk with priest...he told me go to see psychiatrist :/ thanks so much for help ._. Most of today's so-called "priests" are not real priests. They are functionaries of some religious organization. Priesthood is both a gift and a mission from Above. |

This explanation could work for some instances but what about when I witness real events happening around me in real time? Like the example I gave in the OP about seeing friends coming up my stairs and then waking to a knock on the door, of course it is the same two friends I just saw. And most of the time when I see these creatures they are not in the room I am sleeping in - they are in other rooms in my apartment or outdoors. Another example: a few months ago I was watching a movie in bed when I nodded off. I immediately found myself in the backyard standing next to my vegetable garden where a raccoon is feasting on nearly ripe tomatoes. I look past the garden into the trees where I see a huge black shape with bright red eyes, like Christmas lights. Instantly I wake up in my bed with a gasp. The next morning, all of my near ripe tomatoes are gone. Similarly, I have witnessed animals going through my garbage and the next day the can is tipped over and the trash bags inside are shredded. I have also seen myself sleeping on a few occasions with one of these demonic entities peering at my physical body next to the bed. It seems that my astral body / spirit / soul or whatever is attracted to life. When I find myself in another part of my apartment just after losing consciousness, It is almost always in a room where my cat or dog is sleeping, and like I said if there is animal life just outside my house I am plopped right next to them. The creatures have the same effect; I will all of a sudden be in my kitchen staring at the cracked pantry door where I can see something awful peering out at me. So this kind of stuff makes me think this is more than just hallucinations and I know they aren't just dreams. Everything is always exactly as it is in real life when I have these "visions." So what I am trying to figure out is how can I control the how / why / where / when of this phenomenon. I want to be able to control it, to do it when meditating, to travel farther out into the world and beyond. It can be tremendously frightening but I think it has enormous potential for positive as well. I want to be able to access my higher self, kundalini energy, chakras, etc. |

I've astral travelled too, twice, and both times were a completely different experience to the hallucinations. 'Projecting outside of your body' and 'seeing things' are two different things. they could also be combined. For someone who has experienced both, I can talk from my own experience and say that the spiders I see are mine and made up, the astral travelling though was something different all together!!! Certainly there are lower realm entities that some may call demons and who might take the form of of beings that try to evoke strong fear (wether they are actual demons in the Christian sense or whether they are just souls who haven’t yet progress on there journey is for another conversation!). OP, keep an open mind and understand that what you see is experienced by many others. |

I want to be able to access my higher self, kundalini energy, chakras, etc. Hearing you. my astral travel experiences were completely 'uncontrolled'. I mean, when they occurred I wasn’t trying for them to. Both times I heard a voice in my head saying it was time to get up, and I just sat up out of my body. Both times I got out of bed with an understanding of what was happening and in control of where I was going, but as soon as I had a limiting thought I 'sucked' straight back into my body and woke up with a gasp! Tell me OP, do you remember going back into your body or the reasons you go back to it? Are they conscious reasons or do you just go from your surroundings back to your body in an instant and without control? |

| HarryHood (OP) Seeker User ID: 5123777 11/24/2012 05:41 PM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | I have never actually experienced my astral self moving back inside my body from the astral point of view, no. I normally see something which scares me at which point i become conscious again. However, I have had experiences where, when theoretically out of my body, I feel fear BECAUSE I become aware that I am not connected to my physical body and at that instant I am awake. Basically I feel like I am having very brief, elementary OBEs / astral projection experiences. I have little control over what is happening or when it happens. If not for the witnessing of real events in real time, I would probably think these were indeed just hallucinations or vivd, strange dreams. I want to know more about what is happening and how to become "good" at doing it. I have read about people being able to travel anywhere in the universe in their astral bodies, and of course this experience is related to remote viewing as well. I find this stuff to be fascinating. I am more fascinated and excited about that prospect then i am afraid of the negative things I see. |
