This sort of happened to me and I hallucinated a spider last summer and have had similar experiences several times since. That made me look into it and discovered the moments between sleeping and being awake are very common to hallucinate. There's even scientific names for it, etc. Here's the thread, maybe some of the info is in there. Thread: Has Anyone Ever HALLUCINATED A SPIDER When Waking Up?
