Even as a Catholic...I really wonder at times if Satan has infiltrated the Vatican..But I do honor the Pope..not worship him..I give him respect. John Paul the II was a good man, kind man..you can't take that away from him. They are human just like us..just a figure head of a church.

even tho I believe what I stated about the Vatican ....

Let me assure you that I believe millions of millions of Catholics will be in heaven

I'm against people in power that lead people astray ....

I'm against the catholic system .....not the catholic people ....

I love all people ... No matter what their affiliation

I don't mean to offend people ... I just try to warn people and if I'm wrong about certain things then I ask God to correct me

Thank You. You sir, have my utmost respect and never once offended me. Although I don't know if Heaven would accept me just yet...I have some serious repentin' to do...LOL

My friend, please don't be deceived. The bad news is you will never be good enough for heaven to accept you...

But here is the good news (gospel). Trust in the finished work of the cross and you WILL be saved.

One of the greatest lies that permeate our world is this: good people go to heaven/bad people go to hell.

The gospel wouldn't be the "good news" if we had to make ourselves clean and spotless for God to accept us.

He did it for us.

Look to the example of the thief on the cross...

Remember these words: "All who call upon the name of the Lord will be saved."

Cling to Christ and no matter your sin, past or future, you will be accepted into heaven with open arms.

in Matthew 25 ...Jesus himself gives the requirements of entering into heaven for people who aren't Christians and again in revelation 20 it describes they same event .....

It what christians call the Great White Throne Judgement

the Bible says this is the resurrection of the dead ..... Jesus and John clearly say that ALL of these people, will be judged according to their WORKS ....it doesn't say they are judged according to their faith in the blood of Christ like true followers of Christ are ....Jesus and Jon declare that these people are judged according to one thing only ....their works

Jesus said this in Matt 25

31 When the Son of man shall come in his glory, and all the holy angels with him, then shall he sit upon the throne of his glory:

32 And before him shall be gathered all nations: and he shall separate them one from another, as a shepherd divideth his sheep from the goats:

33 And he shall set the sheep on his right hand, but the goats on the left.

34 Then shall the King say unto them on his right hand, Come, ye blessed of my Father, inherit the kingdom prepared for you from the foundation of the world:

35 For I was an hungred, and ye gave me meat: I was thirsty, and ye gave me drink: I was a stranger, and ye took me in:

36 Naked, and ye clothed me: I was sick, and ye visited me: I was in prison, and ye came unto me.

37 Then shall the righteous answer him, saying, Lord, when saw we thee an hungred, and fed thee? or thirsty, and gave thee drink?

38 When saw we thee a stranger, and took thee in? or naked, and clothed thee?

39 Or when saw we thee sick, or in prison, and came unto thee?

40 And the King shall answer and say unto them, Verily I say unto you, Inasmuch as ye have done it unto one of the least of these my brethren, ye have done it unto me.

41 Then shall he say also unto them on the left hand, Depart from me, ye cursed, into everlasting fire, prepared for the devil and his angels:

42 For I was an hungred, and ye gave me no meat: I was thirsty, and ye gave me no drink:

43 I was a stranger, and ye took me not in: naked, and ye clothed me not: sick, and in prison, and ye visited me not.

44 Then shall they also answer him, saying, Lord, when saw we thee an hungred, or athirst, or a stranger, or naked, or sick, or in prison, and did not minister unto thee?

45 Then shall he answer them, saying, Verily I say unto you, Inasmuch as ye did it not to one of the least of these, ye did it not to me.

46 And these shall go away into everlasting punishment: but the righteous into life eternal.

So this isn't my words ....this is the Word of God

Jesus said that no man comes to the Son unless the Father draws him first

God doesn't hold people accountable for not coming to him if he didn't draw them in the first place ...so he judges them according to one thing only ....their works....how they treated their fellow man

Do you remember what Jesus said the two greatest commandments were?

1......love The Lord thy God with all your heart mind and soul

2.......love thy neighbor as thyself

The first commandment are to the true followers of Christ ...also notice that if you follow the first commandment then you will love your neighbor as thyself ....so the 2nd commandment would just be redundant

Therefore the second commandment is to all the people of the earth that God doesn't draw unto himself...

He is a just God and he still gives people a chance even if he doesn't draw them....he just asks them to treat their fellow human with love....the thief on he cross is an example of this principle......the thief on the cross lived a sinful life but in a crucial moment of his life he showed love to his fellow man and he recieved eternal life because of it

While it may be counter-productive to get into a theological debate on GLP, I will answer you post...

Matthew 25 and the Great White Throne are two separate events. You are not being precise enough with scripture.
Compare it to Joel 3:1-6. It is a judgement that precedes the establishment of Christ's Millennial kingdom. In Matthew 25, he is dealing with "the nations". Those who are alive at his Second Coming.

Look closely at verse 34: "Come you blessed of My Father, inherit the kingdom prepared for you..." Those who are alive before the establishment of the kingdom of God on earth. Their deeds are the RESULT of their heart not the means of their salvation. The kingdom was prepared long before and is a gracious gift. The deeds in view here are not the causation of their salvation but a manifestation of a changed heart.

Compare this with the Great White Throne: Here God is dealing with the "dead, great and small" Not "the nations" as in Matthew 25.

"Anyone not found written in the Book of Life" was cast into the Lake of Fire. That is the criteria in view. Two sets of books are opened. The books containing their "works" which are insufficient for salvation and the Book of Life, which guarantees salvation. If they are not found in the Book of Life, they have to be judged by their works which bring condemnation.

Concerning the Thief on the Cross... He was not saved for showing love..he was saved by calling on the Name of the Lord and trusting God, not himself:

Look at what he said:

"Do you not even fear God, seeing you are under the same condemnation? And we indeed justly, for we receive the due reward of OUR DEEDS" - he acknowledges that he is a sinner deserving of God's judgement and is rightly to be condemned.

"But this Man has done nothing wrong" - he acknowledges the holiness and righteousness of Christ.

"Lord, remember me when you come into Your kingdom." - He calls upon the name of the Lord for his salvation, not trusting in any good deeds or expressions of love. It is the Lord he clings to.

And the response from Christ?

"Assuredly, I say to you, today you will be with Me in Paradise."

The thief, the sinner, was assured salvation. Not because of his deeds but in spite of his deeds. He was assured salvation because he trusted in Christ. He never said a "sinner's prayer" but his words show he understood the gospel:

I am sinner who can't save himself.
I am worthy of condemnation by a Just God who is righteous.
I trust in You only for my salvation and to cover my unrighteousness.

His salvation had nothing to do with showing compassion for his fellow man. It had everything to do with calling on the Lord.
