Babies move and react to all sorts of electrical stimuli. It is not alive until it can live separatly from the mother. The heartbeat comes from the mothers umbilical cord. Blood is pumped in there. It is not alive until it is delivered and can breathe on it's own. Often doctors have to slap it to get it to breathe. It sometimes needs that stimuli to cry and breathe. Also, abortion is the mother and doctor's choice. A private matter, but I willing to compromise by saying doctors shouldn't abort in the third month if the mother and baby are well. She could always put it up for adoption.
Quoting: Scrubmouse A one day old human cannot survive without the care of other humans. By your logic it is "abortable". You seem to like the term "IT" much. IT is a separate genetic organism from IT's host. IT carries It's own unique DNA signature from IT's host. "It sometimes needs that stimuli to cry and breathe." Once CO2 concentrations reach a peak in the bloodstream he or she knows to breath on their own via human instinct.
