as human beings we all have sexual desires, since we were created to be this way then why is lust frowned upon?

The world is setup to cater to lusts. To nurture them and encourage them.
There is a natural man and a spiritual man OP and the two war against one another.
Serve one or serve the other.

This whole machine is driven by lust OP.
Lust for sex, money, power, vain glory... and lust is never satisfied. Never enough... Need more and more...
Lust only serves the natural man... SELF... PRIDE... EGO...
If a man desires spiritual things and to be free from such chains, he will look to resist such things and find he does not have strength within himself to resist such things. He sees he is but a natural man. This man will call upon one who can free him from such things. And there is ONE who can and does free a man from such things.
But not all men desire freedom from such things OP. Rather the contrary; they love such things and they promote such things and they justify such things and call them 'normal' and 'natural'.
Well, to the natural man, they are indeed natural. But to the spiritual man, they are contrary to spiritual things.
So man makes a choice.
Now we see the world promotes natural things. The world runs headlong towards these things and encourages other when they do they same.
But of course, this world is ruled by such powers and they encourage men to their own spiritual destruction. They lead men to the pit. They are the pied pipers of spiritual death.
So man makes a choice. Serve the natural man or serve the spiritual man. Service receives a reward, either way.
