Might be the stopping drinking that helped with anxiety in the long run, i know it helps short term.
Quoting: closing eyes could have sworn drinking helped anxiety?lol It doesn't - it just buries it until you get sober again. Then, not only do you have to deal with your pre-existing anxiety, you have to add on the anxiety caused by all the crazy and stupid things you did while you were drinking. It's a negative cycle, unfortunately - but not for everyone.
