Who can blame them. If a marriage breaks up and there are kids involved, the male invariably gets shafted. Many lose everything. Better by far to stay away from the church/regiset office/whatever. OK, so you'll not have access to your kids if it breaks up, but who does after marriage failure.

Given the way the system sides with the ex-wife/ mother, it's a no brainer.
