The lack of time available for kids because parents are both working full time and beyond, child support, alimony, car insurance, mortgage payments, flood insurance, mandated health insurance, home owners insurance, property insurance, liability insurance, property taxes with 2% limitation increases a year. Indefinite surveillance, excessive charges, tolls, surcharges for minimal legal infractions. Hell even a Red light ticket is a 2 point increase.

My oldest is a very accomplished young man of 26. He will be a millionaire in a few years. But he will never get married. The reason is divorce is devastating for successful men. The woman can have an affair, make more than the man, and the courts will award the woman alimony and child support, because the courts are so biased.

We act like we can go on like we have for the past 20 years or so and there will not be any ramifications.

The government can finance its spending with record deficits. We say no ramifications.

Courts can fault the man in divorce, even if it was the woman who had the affair. We say no ramifications.

In my case it was her thinking I'm something I'm not. She figured me to be the bad boy. I'm just the non-conformer. I'm not bad by choice, but by circumstance. I'm not that guy they swoon over, I'm that guy that understands them. That's even worse.

Who can blame them. If a marriage breaks up and there are kids involved, the male invariably gets shafted. Many lose everything. Better by far to stay away from the church/regiset office/whatever. OK, so you'll not have access to your kids if it breaks up, but who does after marriage failure.

Given the way the system sides with the ex-wife/ mother, it's a no brainer.

Ha Ha Two Way Street I think. I'm in my forty's. Never got married or had kids. My sisters all older than me all got married 3 times each. I decided early on their was no way I was doing that. To messy getting out afterwards on both sides. All my sisters had good jobs and contributed lots to the financial good of the union but I know many in other circumstances where either one or the other did everything and the other did nothing and wanted everything. Go Figure.


Even in common law instances you can be taken to the cleaners. I have done quite well for myself and have alot of men look at me like a jackpot. I keep my own place because of it.

I would need someone with just as much as me to ever even consider cohabitating. I think you have to be equel for it too work and know exactely what everyone expects. I think alot of people don't talk about the issues before they get married and should.
