The Aramaic English New Testament is going to be about as close as you can get.

Your biggest obstacle is throwing out ALL the garbage you have been indoctrinated with from your Torahless "churches".

Read in CONTEXT, do NOT add, do NOT take away, and do NOT make it say what it does NOT.

Line everything up with the Torah and the Words of Yeshua. Throw out ALL your commentaries, trash the teachings of the so called "church fathers".

Seriously, if you want to know what YHVH'a Word means, ask YHVH/YaHWeH to show you His truth as He meant it to be understood. Now sit back as your world is turned upside down and the blinders are taken off. You will be amazed, the truth was there the whole time. You will be kicked out of your current "church system", but do NOT worry, they would have done the same to Yeshua and the original taught ones as well.

Shalom,
Eliyah Ben Yisrael

Yes. Listen to what Jesus is saying, follow him, hear God. Do NOT read commentaries; those are men adding their own words and meanings. Let the Spirit lead you through our Father's beautiful Word.

Yes stick with the KJV and you can look up some of the translations of those new ones.
And see even who and what denominational backgrounds they are from and for... and what they wanted translated out of the original KJV.

KJV and a bible dictionary....Strongs is OK but I have just an old old raggedy dictionary Bible one.

As well and legal one and medical one.

You can always look it up online for all the extra references parallel verses to the one you are questioning....and the commentaries below that but you have to pay attention to which commentary writer you are reading as well.

Not many two just a couple yet one of those two in particular is no more than a stumbling block.

I only uses this online one because it has easy verse KJV and good side references verses.

My eye sight is to the point that only my huge old leather family bible is readable....its print is big and bold.

Online I can zoom and it is lit up on white background at that one link.

Re: Picking the right bible? christians only please be respectfule
A couple points. I like the newer versions, they are easy to understand...

There is only one problem, for me...

God has never quickened, nor spoken to me out of any other translation than the KJV.

Now It's not because I'm one of those KJV only people, its just that I look at things like Galatians Ch2 where it says faith of Christ. Not faith in Christ. BIG DIFFERENCE.

I also am not sure the KJV had the latest transcripts, but I do think that since the translators lived hundreds of years ago, they were not as close to evil...

What I mean is we are now near the end of time, men are more evil now then in the beginning of time.

Lastly, the translators and people educated hundreds of yrs ago, seem to have been better educated, and they spoke several ancient languages, and could even converse with one another.

When it comes to transcripts, just remember OLDER is not necessarily BETTER. That is taught in the Seminary's and Bible colleges, because man does not want to believe that GOD has preserved His Word. Man wants to pick and choose which verses belong. Older=manuscripts that were not used as often, or that were discarded due to inaccuracies and then never used. The manuscripts that were being used by the saints of God were being regularly copied down by scribes, and by the time they "used up" a manuscript, they would have 10 copies or even 100 exact copies, so they could discard it.
The problem with modern day scholars is they don't apply common sense or logic to their studies, so we end up with a new Bible version every 6 months ($$$$$$) and someone other than David killing Goliath. I can give you hundreds, if not thousands of contradictions in the New Age Versions, yet every supposed contradiction I have found in the KJV was either my own misunderstanding, or the answer was revealed to me with prayer and studying of the Word.
You are right to say they were better educated back then, but not only this...the English language has been degenerating rapidly, especially in the past 100 years. The language that the KJV was translated in was FAR superior to our modern day corruption of it. Stick with the KJ and you will have the very exact Word's of God that you can wholly trust and rely on. They are perfect!
