Please look at this picture - could this be an orb/spirit - totally serious. | |

Orbs are spirits. Quoting: Anonymous Coward 27864179 What makes you think so? Im just honestly curious. I've never really researched "orbs" or anything. How can one tell if its a spirit, or just a dust particle or something? Can you even tell? I will say - even if its some camera thing or dust - thinking it's my brother feels pretty neat "Live each day like it's your last, love like you've never been hurt, and dance like no one is watching." I have a picture, which I took of a snowman on my back deck, and there are orbs all over the place. They only showed up in one picture and at first I thought it was dust particles, but that's unlikely since it was very cold, and it was outside. I had been thinking about my father when I took the picture because we always made snowmen together. Who knows. You will see the same thing. And it probably is your brother because you think about him, miss him, and he tries to make his presence known to you. |

I never really had any experience with this sort of thing either until a few months ago. I picked up my co-worker to drive to work and she was in her front yard taking a picture of a blooming tree (it was the Spring) her dad had planted. When we got to work we looked at the picture and there was a large blue orb right next to the tree, very similar to the one on your picture. She said oh, there's my dad, he loved that tree. So, it's quite possible your brother's energy showed up on your picture to give you guys some comfort. I hope so. Good luck! |

It scared him and he ran out to tell me. He felt he was losing his mind because those kind of things don't normally happen. Later that night I got a call and found out my sister in law had passed away. She lived in another state, and had been curious about my boyfriend, what he looked like, what he was like etc. As it turned out, she died shortly before BF saw that round light thing float across the bathtub. He's never seen anything like that before or since. |

Captain Spaulding User ID: 28245340 United States 11/25/2012 12:43 PM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | I have hundreds of pictures of THOUSANDS of "orbs" as they're referred to. THOUSANDS! They LOVE animals and there's always huge, bright, detailed ones above my dog(s). Surrounding people. Coming out of walls in sequence. Pictures at night of 50 or 60 standing still with one, two or three flying straight across the frame with trails behind them. All the way across in the duration of a flash (about 1/30 of a second). A lot of them are moisture in the air, dust, pollen etc. I ruled those out and saved only the unexplainable ones. Some in the daytime coming out of a stream, moving straight upwards with a white trail behind. Series of pictures with a couple, then a few more, then more, then the frame is filled with them then they start to "leave". I always make sure I hold my breath for a few seconds before I take the picture, so there can be no moisture fog. Research more and you'll find them in NASA photos in front of astronauts and outside the windows. I'd say the majority of them are just explainable *things* floating in the air reflecting light back from the flash to the lens. But I have some HUGE, well defined ones over people's heads. They can't dirt or dust on the lens or they' would be out of focus. I graduated Brook Inst. of Photography in 1985 and only started seeing them in the late 90's. I know a lot about optics. There's been symposiums held where engineers, camera operators from the film business and other professional engineers have found they can't explain them. Why do some of them move across the frame while others are standing still? If it was dust or moisture ALL of the "orbs" would be moving at the same speed. They haven't been officially "debunked". Dust on the lens is definitely out. moisture in the air and dust and pollen make sense, except for the movement of a few issue. AND I have pictures from both 35mm still cameras AND several different digital cameras. I first discovered mine when I was living on Chumash, native American Indian land that was semi rural in the foothills. Actually, on ranches next door to where Arnold and Maria are now selling their house in Carpinteria, CA. You can look it up and see pics of the area. Maria wants to sell it because she ("felt something was weird there". (Maybe it was her husband) Yeah, I think the veil is thinning and that they're spirits floating around waiting for another body to rejoin on this plane. I know. I sound like a geek. But nobody has a viable explanation for all the different situations other than pollen, moisture and dust. Which DOES NOT explain movement, focus of both near and far particles and why there's always one HUGE one over all the different dogs I've photographed. |
Captain Spaulding User ID: 28245340 United States 11/25/2012 12:50 PM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | Oh, and they can be seen with the "naked" eye by holding the camera next to your head, behind your eye-line and taking a picture, using the flash as a light source. A lot of them are dust. But NOT ALL OF THEM! Over ten years I made it my "hobby" to try all different kinds of things to reproduce them. You can, with dust and moisture. But those pictures look different. the focus is different on near to farther away ones because of depth of field. In the pictures I have they are all in focus, both big and small, and near and far. Any dust on a lens would soften the whole image and be out of focus. |

This picture was taken on Thanksgiving at my parents house. My other brother and his fiancee were also there. There was a sad tone to the day - we all missed him even more because of the holiday. I am not sure if I believe that spirits can show up in pictures like this - even though there have been plenty of claims that say they can. That being said, I've also never seen something like this before. My brother LOVED his nephews, my boys here, and when he was alive, and we went over for holidays, he always wanted to be near them. Just gives me chills a little..... Just want some opinions. Thanks! Yes dear! No doubt a spirit showing. not sure if it was your brother though. but you know how the energy felt. If it felt anything like your brother it is most likely him! Love. |

I will say - even if its some camera thing or dust - thinking it's my brother feels pretty neat I know so, but I cannot prove it to those who can't look. they often can and do show in pictures, particularly with the new digital cameras. Orbs have increased on this world because they are now allowed to serve. they were always there, they just could not "work". Now they can, there communication circuits are reopened to this world, it is not longer under quarantine. The actual Lord's Prayer Given by Jesus 2000 years ago. "MY SPIRIT, YOU ARE OMNIPOTENT. YOUR NAME IS HOLY. MAY YOUR REALM BE INCARNATE IN ME. MAY YOUR POWER REVEAL ITSELF WITHIN ME, ON EARTH AND IN THE HEAVEN. GIVE ME TODAY MY DAILY BREAD, AND THUS, LET ME RECOGNIZE MY TRANSGRESSIONS AND ERRORS, AND I SHALL RECOGNIZE THE TRUTH. AND DO NOT LEAD ME INTO TEMPTATION AND CONFUSION, BUT DELIVER ME FROM ERROR. FOR YOURS IS THE REALM WITHIN ME AND THE POWER AND THE KNOWLEDGE FOREVER, AMEN. I personally have never had anything show up on a picture like this with this camera, and I take a LOT of pictures. I was just going to say you should try to duplicate it, but if you've had this camera a while, you'd know if it gave orbs regularly. I had a camera that just always showed them. Not sure why. But those I was sure was just dust or moisture. You could just tell. That one in your picture isn't blurry or anything. I find it pretty impressive. When you look online at others' pics, you'll get a feel for what is common and probably nothing supernatural and what is suspiciously out of place. I think you had a visitor in that pic. Sorry for your loss. The year of "firsts" sucks. |

Captain Spaulding User ID: 28245340 United States 11/25/2012 10:21 PM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | i am 100% certain this is a lens effect, it does not exist outside of the cameras optics. Quoting: Anonymous Coward 28449030 The only "lens effect" you would get would be refraction, or lens "flare". A light source pointing towards the lens. You'll see a number of circles from the source across the lens and you can can figure out the number of elements in your lens by the number of refraction's in the frame. Dust is possible. But it's been ruled out by the pictures I kept by the movement of some of the "orbs" while others are stationary. If they were dust, they would all be moving, not just one, or a few. |
