my husband is a home coordinator who works with people with down syndrome and autism.
so it was his job to take his client to vote, which the client expressed he wanted to do and had the right to do.

i know for a fact that even those his family all voted democrat, as they are very liberal, and they tried to explain to him why voting democrat would be good, this person decided BY THEMSELVES to go against what the family voted and instead voted for romney because he was not for gay marriage.

this was his personal and thought out decision, he isn't a robot that has no mind of his own.

so this really isn't a black or white issue here.

I do not think mentally challenged people who cannot care for themselves have a right to vote. I do not think they are capable of making national decisions when they cannot make decisions regarding day to day life.

I do not think illegals have a right to vote in the United States. I do not vote in Mexico, They should not vote here.

I heard a poll worker who called into a local radio talk show in Sioux City Iowa claim he saw the same thing. The care takers got absentee ballots for the wards, and drove some of the higher functioning ones to the polling stations and told them to vote for Obama.

There isn't. That is why over half of the registered voters did not vote and left it to the Electoral College and the Congress.
If the GOP does not seat the Electoral college representatives, there will not be a quorum.

The vote then goes to Congress. Which is Republican majority. If there is no quorum set to vote, They will appoint a temporary President ( probably Boehner, since he is the Speaker of the House).

Something the illiterate Obama voters do not understand. This is a republic.. not a democracy.

If the GOP does not do anything. I guess you know it is a one party system. And the GOP might as well disband and join the democrats... For they will lose whatever base that had.

There's a facility in my hometown that has always had residents vote despite the fact that none of them have the mental capacity to understand what voting means, who the candidates are, etc. My hometown is very conservative and very small so I've always thought it could have a pretty big impact on the smaller, local elections.
