Business Insider‏@businessinsider Devastated Rockaways Communities Pull Together In The Aftermath Of Sandy by @danielngoodman [ link to read.bi] I just hope we don't see the same thing but now in west coast... anyone knows if west coast have wave barriers? most of the cities on the west coast aren't right up near the ocean like they are in manhatten. yeah. there's a few districts right there on the water, but we have lots of cliffs that lead down to the ocean. mudslides in northern california would be the biggest concern near the coast. ok, another danger i think is the rapid flooding in rivers and streams that could make a whater wall and take everything in front of it...
