Luisport, you got me hooked on Ryan Maue  GFS 12z showed 5-day rain totals for N. California from San Fran north 6-12'' (+ at elevation, all liquid). Amazing. [ link to pic.twitter.com] [ link to twitter.com] Luisport now think what could happen with all that soft earth and a decent quake...?? That would have a major impact... food for thought.  well you don't nead any quake to make this storm a bad thing to this region, but all this whater can lubricate the fault and make it more easy to slide...
