did you ever play the game pokemon puzzle challenge for the GBC?

not a big puzzle fan, why was it so good?

you have to play it

it is like the video game equivalent to a rubik's cube

all you do is move around colored tiles until you get 3 or more in a row and they are eliminated

you can perform chains/combos when tiles fall down into the places of the tiles you just eliminated and touch other tiles of the same color and are then eliminated



there are also set puzzles that require you to remove all of the tiles in a set number of moves

there is also a vs mode (against cpu/ai or human) where you play against an opponent and try to use combos to fill their screen with tiles (every time you pull off a combo the opponent gets that many lines of tiles, so if you can pull off a chain reaction of 5 straight eliminations you pretty much fill their screen and it is game over for them)

it is great mental exercise because it allows so much thinking (much, much more thinking than tetris)
