Re: INFLAMMATORY Dental Advice
i stopped going to the dentist a little over a year ago after he had my wisdom teeth taken out...

after that i started getting horrible pain in my jaw and hear constant cracking when i move it. so now i have TMJ thanks to a stupid dentist. and when i told him about this he basically said theres nothing he can do

fucking thieves. after reading this now i know exactly why

i stopped using flouride and now use toms brand of toothpaste that is flouride free and my teeth have never been healthier. also i dont feel the need to gag whenever i brush my teeth now that im not using poison anymore

* Rinse for 1-2 minutes with baking soda and warm water daily

* Don't brush too hard, use soft bristle brushes; this is how enamel is damaged and get prone to decay and cavities

* Brush with baking soda 2-3 times a week, again not to hard.

* Try to avoid very strong mouthwash with a lot of alcohol; it irritates the gums and mucus membranes. And i=t isn't necessary to sanitize your mouth, baking soda and water will do the same, or a little hydrogen peroxide.

* FLOSS ! VERY IMPORTANT [many people hate flossing, but that's how you get rid of particles stuck between teeth and plaque build up between teeth [most cavities occur between teeth and at the gumline], along with rinsing to loosen food and plaque before brushing.

* Chew sugar free gun during the day, especially when your mouth feels dry; saliva acts to neutralize plaque.

==================

Dentistry is a big business, and it's about making $ for both dental professionals and the many OTC and prescription stuff companies market. And oral surgery, cosmetic surgery, etc., is again a big profitable business. There's nothing really wrong or bad about most dental products on the market, the catch is many are simply differentiated products and most people can use the least expensive available just fine, or make their own stuff at home, for a lot less than buying pre-made stuff. Baking soda is an excellent example of something that's useful in many ways for good oral health and cost a fraction of most other stuff on the market.

I've had some serious dental problems (caused by dentists!). Now, I brush my teeth with Dr. Bronner's peppermint soap three or four times/week, the rest of the time I use baking soda and sea salt. Great results.

Re: INFLAMMATORY Dental Advice
Can't find the YouTube vid now but there's a lady who suggests oil pulling with coconut oil, followed by brushing with a mix of baking soda, sea salt and coconut oil and turmeric, then flossing. Then at night hold some turmeric/baking soda in your mouth and sip a little apple cider vinegar, rinse and spit. Her teeth were super white.

I thought it suspect since turmeric is yellow but it's working for me. The rinse of mixing baking soda and apple cider vinegar in your mouth causes a bubbling reaction which cleans between teeth. I've had a raspberry seed or stuff caught between my teeth and used this bubbling mix and it immediately removes anything stuck between teeth and feels super clean.

Here's a different article verifying that yes, turmeric whitens teeth ...

Usually the time it takes to brew our morning joe..about 15 minutes...you've swished enough when the oil becomes thick and opaque white. Curezone has alot of info about things to add to your pulling oil to treat different ailments along with increasing the number of pulls per day. Oil pulling has eliminated my need for flossing, which I believe forces food particles DEEP into your gums more than what it removes.

HTF do you know you don't have any cavaties if you haven't been in ten years?

if you only brush once or twice a week then i KNOW you never floss and that means you have nasty ass breath and you WILL get gum disease and your gums bleed when you do brush, right?

there is probably a lot of truth in this article but without DAILY maintenance, which means flossing, clean your tongue, and brush and follow with a mouth wash, you have bad breath and poor dental hygiene.

ALL you have to KNOW IS .... when they 'bit' on the false fluoride treatment BULL shyt', they turned their backs on the scientific method and any reasonable Conclusion for the French 'study' (?) !

I tell met dentist what I WANT DONE and she does it ! Another one I gave up before her, said my last molar HAD TO come OUT ! She looked and said yes too.

That was TEN YEARS AGO and it's still in my mouths, helping to keep the shape of same.

Yes, it WAS JUST an infection, that has happened twice more, but each tome antibiotics 'cured it' !

ALSO, very important, IF you have had a clod, DON'T believe any x-rays that show the tooth is abscessed, because of DARK colors below same. That can easily be the result of the head cold moving INTO the root area.

i'm 46, never had a cavity - haven't been to the dentist in at least 15 years

2 of my kids are cavity cavity cavity cavity city

the other 2 are like me, never a cavity

now, i will say this - i have always thought there are 2 kinds of teeth - the super white ones that get all holey and always have dental problems and the not so white kind that are tough as nails and never have dental problems

my ex and i had each kind and it split 50/50 between the kids

and that thing in the article that mentions when the dentist pokes your tooth and says "oh, i bet you'll have a cavity here next time" - that is THE TRUTH - that happens to my daughter nearly every single time! and, she had to have a root canal at 15. 15?! that's absurd!

Re: INFLAMMATORY Dental Advice
root canal person - you can't let that be - you need to be on antibiotics and then get your root canal and take another course of antibiotics. everyone is correct - you can't mess around with that or it could literally end up costing you your jaw bone. that's not fiction, i know a man that this happened to. he has been struggling for a couple of years now with many surgeries and bone grafts, jaws wired, etc. you don't want that!

unfortunately, if you don't have good/any insurance, it is going to cost you a fortune! my kids have fairly decent insurance through their dad and it STILL ended up costing me $900 out of pocket (so close to $2000 w/o insurance, that's crazy!) - and i had to pay before they would schedule her. i am in indiana but i imagine the prices are similar anywhere.

Yeah, if you do chew sugar free gum, only use gum sweetened with Xylitol. This sugar substitute has 1/2 the calories of sugar, and a unique 5-molecule structure, instead of the 6 in sugar. When bacteria eat at it, they die. Some older dentists will even advise brushing with xylitol.
I haven't had dental insurance for over two years, and it doesn't look like I will get any in future. Last time I had an infection, I put all kinds of things on it, alternating. I used garlic clove in tea bag, fuller's earth clay and activated charcoal to draw out infection, clove to reduce pain, and oregonal oil. I also took massive doses of garlic capsules throughout the day (one of the strongest natural antibiotics), and cooked with garlic. That was over a year ago; took about 4 days to cure completely, and it hasn't come back. I admit I was worried, the entire cheek was swollen. But it started receding shortly after I made my massive attack on it. I also gargled regularly, sometimes with warm salt water, sometimes with water and Grapeseed extract.

Now I make my own toothpaste. Takes a while to make since I really add a lot to it. It is a powder, with baking soda, Xylitol, arrowroot, ground myrrh, ground Neem leaf, manganese powder, sea salt, mint, alfalfa, and a few other things. I also made a tincture for use in between, with myrrh, coconut oil, Neem oil, calendula, Tamanu oil, and I don't remember what all, although I have it written down. I always make enough for about a year.
