Re: INFLAMMATORY Dental Advice
Man, I've been reading about this for awhile now and soooo want to believe it. Been doing some oil pulling and other alternative dental things but still get cavities.

Can anyone who does dowsing test the article to see which parts are truthful?

I've gone through periods where I say eff the dentist and didn't go for years, not even for cleanings. Always when I came back there were cavities and some I didn't get filled and they got worse and had to get root canals.

It infuriates me that I've lived a super-healthy lifestyle/diet for over 30 years and have a mouthful of cavities and five root canals. I haven't had a freakin' soda in 35 years!

I've wanted to grow and remineralize my teeth using visualization along with the other things mentioned but it disheartens me to read that one part about not being able to grow a new set of teeth if your wisdom teeth have been pulled!!!

Teeth have been such a stressful avenue of my life.

For those of you using baking soda..baking soda is anbrasive. You are sanding off the enamal from your teeth and exposing the dentin which is soft and very acceptible to the acids that gram-positive bateria produces. Go ahead and sand your teeth brushing, and sand blasting them if you rinse with the baking soda. You will just cause your teeth to rot in the end. in You people are so, and I hate to call people stupid, but i dont know what else to say.

Baking soda lol.

...
I know because I have went through dental scool. We want you too have a healthy mouth.
 Quoting: Mad Pole

so you wen to dental "scool" and they told you fluoride was good?

lol
 Quoting: Anonymous Coward 664728

attack and red hearing what I said. Adress what I said about negatives of using baking soda on the enamal of the teooth.

You can not, it is sanding off the enamal and will expose you dentin. Rod your tooth out.

Yep, I hear you. I've sort of come to a conclusion that it's a genetic thing with the teeth. Or maybe even internal emotional stress affecting the health of the teeth, because despite my 35 years of alternative health practices and healthy diet, I still struggle with emotional issues that probably would have killed me if not for the buffering of good diet, herbs, juicing, fasting, etc etc.
 Quoting: Anonymous Coward 27531391

I think so. My parents and brother had terrible teeth and I always took great pains to take care of mine. I literally have nightmares where I lose my teeth, it's caused me a lot of stress.

My ex husband has really good teeth and all of my kids have really good teeth thank god, they got his genes on that one.

Thank you OP. I have been trying to get a root canal appointment for a week now because I have had anxiety about the infection getting worse. After reading this I am happy I did not get the dental procedure!
 Quoting: Anonymous Coward 28462194

It will continue to get worse until the abscess goes into the jaw bone and blood infection.

[link to en.wikipedia.org]
 Quoting: - 14012564

Yeah, I would worry about the infection, too. Would for sure not just ignore it; try some of the possible remedies in that article. Keep trying until it goes away.

I've read that dental infections contribute to heart problems and other serious issues.
 Quoting: Ralph--a house dog

And what if, while you "keep trying" - the infection gets worse?

I agree that everyone should be cautious about dentistry, but if a person has a large cavity, there is NOTHING they can do to cure it or reverse the damage.

I haven't gone in 10, brush my teeth possibly once or twice a week. No cavaties in that time period
 Quoting: blurryice 17679675

HTF do you know you don't have any cavaties if you haven't been in ten years?

if you only brush once or twice a week then i KNOW you never floss and that means you have nasty ass breath and you WILL get gum disease and your gums bleed when you do brush, right?

there is probably a lot of truth in this article but without DAILY maintenance, which means flossing, clean your tongue, and brush and follow with a mouth wash, you have bad breath and poor dental hygiene.

Re: INFLAMMATORY Dental Advice
I need to add, people which dont remove tarter and plaque will have bad dentle problems.

I have seen patients with 10 millimeter pocket, which the real gumlling is just above the bone and the gram positive bacteria will eat at your bone. The inflimation gets so bad.

You are also pron to heart problems, because the bacteria will get into your blood stream..The major cause of heart desase is from the bacteria from your teeth.

The bacteria will get in other areas of your body, kidneys and you will most likely have a heart attack or dialysis because your kidneys are felling.

Not removing your tarter iws bad, brush please and use flouride.

1. never go to a dentist, except to pull it only after you KNOW that the tooth is lost.
 Quoting: Ralph--a house dog

That's insane.

So this tells people that if they have a decaying, dying tooth, they are supposed to just let it die and then have it pulled? Insane.

2. Dr. Weston Price proved that all species of animal can cure their own caries (remineralize or recalcify the enamel) except one, and that is a human being under care of an American dentist.
 Quoting: Ralph--a house dog

Cite PROOF that a cavity, especially large ones and/or near nerves, can be "cured".

4. Tooth cleaning with carborundum paste … this is the same paste used by diamond cutters to grind facets on diamonds. It removes the enamel, and thus intentionally prevents continual growth /replacement of tooth enamel … harder outer enamel removed the softer undertooth gets cavities
 Quoting: Ralph--a house dog

Cite PROOF.

5. Shepherd’s hook probe … the dentist uses this pressure amplification device to poke holes in your teeth, whereupon he announces, in his or her best heroic voice, that he thinks he just “found” (just poked) a soft spot where there “might be a cavity there at your next cleaning.” Doh! 1-oz of pressure at the middle of the probe generates 20,000 – 40,000 psi at the titanium tip of the pressure amplification device. With enamel removed, your tooth doesn’t have a prayer, and viola, you do have a cavity exactly in the wound INTENTIONALLY caused by the dentist. He knows the technology of his own tools, including pressure amplification devices.
 Quoting: Ralph--a house dog

VIOLA?????

Uh, VOILA!

Absurd.

6. Never allow a dentist to remove your child’s or your own wisdom teeth. The root buds of these teeth contain the stem cells that the remaining teeth need to regenerate. Weston Price confirmed that Japanese elders had cases of regrowing their adult teeth three times in their lifetime. As long as the root bud is not removed, and the wisdom teeth are still there, a tooth lost to violence etc, can be regrown in full. Without wisdom teeth, the jaw does not develop correctly, and the remaining teeth loose the bookend that holds the whole lot of them together. Move away from any dentist who wants to do violence to a child’s dental health, BEFORE there is any evidence of a real problem, that can’t be cured by diet, etc.
 Quoting: Ralph--a house dog

Then explain why people who had wisdom teeth removed and are older now, have no jaw or major tooth problems.

7. NEVER take novacaine, because it’s NOT novacaine. Nor were silver fillings silver. But dentists called the Mercury fillings silver fillings because dentists are habitual liars. When water is poisoned with 5% poison, it’s not water any more. Novacaine comes with epinephrine (sp?). Epinephrine causes the capilary mat that feeds nutrients and oxygen to the teeth through the gums and root pulp to collapse … permanently … This causes all the teetn in the entire quadrant of the mouth that took the poisoning to die slowly … resulting in cavities and loose teeth, and … tadah! profits for the dental profession. The dentist who fails to tell his patients about the epinephrine, and that the primary purpose of the epinephrine is to collapse the capilary matt, which like a collapsed lung, never fully recovers on its own … and to permanently reduce blood flow to the tooth, so that other teeth become diseased, so he can become a hero … etc.
 Quoting: Ralph--a house dog

Cite PROOF.

8. Never let a dentist drill your teeth … cure your cavities as above, or use Lugols Iodine, or MMS, or colloidal silver, or Oil of oregano, or … thousands of things to stop the infection, then get your diet right and start remineralization of your teeth. If your still have your wisdom teeth, you have a big advantage over those whose stem cell generators were stolen from them by the violence and lies of American dentists.
 Quoting: Ralph--a house dog

Provide an example of ONE person who had a real cavity and was able to "cure" it, eliminate it and restore the tooth to absolute original condition.

9. If you have plaque on your gums or your teeth, you have a HUGE medical problem throughout your body, including plaque in your heart, liver, kidneys, brain, pancreas, etc. Get to a qualified Naturopath dietician, and cure that problem, most likely acid condition throughout. Meanwhile remove the dental plaque with old fashioned bloodroot-mint mouthwash. Google sanguinaria-mint mouthwash.
 Quoting: Ralph--a house dog

Cite PROOF that every person with tooth plaque has "huge" medicals problems and plague in major organs.

If you get a loose tooth, also make a compress with olive oil and white oak bark … and tuck it under your gum … it’s extremely astringent and will suck the puss out of any infected or absessed tooth. Google white oak bark dental compress. Add activated carbon powder to the compress as well. Roll the paste into a wrap made with one layer of gause and tuck under the gum.

Brush with activated carbon, bicarb of soda and sea salt. Also a compress made with just plain sea salt and olive oil will make a good compress to save a tooth. Seasalt will kill the infection as well.
 Quoting: Ralph--a house dog

While these may be effective to some extent, there are varying degrees of infections - so what if a person waited while they tried these things and the infection got worse and caused other, even more serious problems?

I am a firm believer in alternatives, but some things, such as tooth decay and infection, must be treated.

Dentists are profiteers who do unnecessary, irreversible medical harm, for no good reason for the patient, other than to gouge their wallets.
 Quoting: Ralph--a house dog

That is true to a degree, but you cannot state with any certainty that every single dentist in this country falls into that category.

NEVER NEVER get a root canal, or a dental implant. Both result in permanet low grade infections. Dentists NEVER tell their patients about this. If your prior dentists have so destroyed your dental health, with their greed and lies, as above, go to Mexico or Germany and get a set of wax teeth made. It’s better than an unhealth mouth. Check any dental objects that the dentist wants to put in your mouth for radiation.

 Quoting: Ralph--a house dog

Everyone should avoid root canals if possible. But "wax teeth" - wth?

watch the vids i posted.
proofs all there.

nb: you cannot"restore' a tooth to its original condition-as in fill in a very large hole-yet.
the research that has been done reverses the process and letts damaged teeth remineralise, lay down new dentine so it hardens and stops decaying. There is more research being done atm into quickly remineralising enough to fill holes.
what has been done(as youll see in the vid) is new layers of dentine hardening and stopping decaying and in people with a very healthy biology/diet even the deacyed parts whitening to the original color.

The actual reminerlaising to grow tooth/dentine to completely fill a large hole is a slow process-At the moment-maybe if more research was done with the info there is now about remeralisation we would have quicker faster ways.Unfortunately the medical bodies wont get behind this(yet) because theyd loose profit.

Thank you OP. I have been trying to get a root canal appointment for a week now because I have had anxiety about the infection getting worse. After reading this I am happy I did not get the dental procedure!

It will continue to get worse until the abscess goes into the jaw bone and blood infection.

 Quoting: Anonymous Coward 28477346

At what point does one give up? Probably not long; dental pain can be horrific. Maybe item #1?

1. never go to a dentist, except to pull it only after you KNOW that the tooth is lost. (I think I would add "when it really hurts and you can't fix it)

While I do favor natural medicine, I certainly don't disdain the use of antibiotics especially for deep infections or ones that aren't responding to other treatment.

To # 28465368 Australia and others--

Thank you for reading this and for some well thought out comments.

I did say this article was INFLAMMATORY and controversial; also cited the source as I didn't write it but found it very interesting.

It seems to me that dental health and experiences with dentists are one of those areas where "your mileage may vary"

Well... The DO seem to get angry, when you even mention any harmful effects of radiation, mercury, or Fluoride.

I've had to switch dentists several times, after having done the above. They never treat you the same afterwards, and seem to view you as some kind of enemy.

I guess it's the very same mentality of a murderer, or a rapist. They don't like it when you call a spade a spade, either.

As I wrote, I am an advocate for alternatives, and everyone should use caution when seeking a dentist as there are some incompetent ones out there and others looking to make extra money, but . . . when it comes to infections and cavities, you shouldn't take any chances.

I know there are many supplements that can help with infection, inflammation, etc. but the problem with a tooth infection is that a person does not know exactly how invasive or severe it is. And with a cavity, the danger is in it getting into the nerve, at which point a person would have to choose between losing the tooth or a root canal - neither of which are good options.

So I just don't advocate that someone wait around while their tooth decays or allow a serious infection to get worse.

Again, a lot of it depends on the dentist you choose and how honest and competent he/she is.

Acid kills teeth, not sugar.

Avoid all soda, carbonated drinks, acidic produce (oranges, grapefruit, berries (blueberries, strawberries, blackberries, cherries), plums, prunes, tomatoes, potatos, eggplant, etc., MEAT, EGGS, DAIRY, GRAINS, LEGUMES and all dried fruits.
 Quoting: Anonymous Coward 28456534

You are wrong about grapefruit, (and probably some others), the end product of digesting grapefruit is alkaline so that is the net contribution it makes to your body's ph.

One telling sign is in asking questions.

EVERYONE has the right to ask questions, many questions, however many you need to ask . . . and the dentist should answer, without hesitation or anger and should, in fact, encourage you to ask questions.

If a dentist gets angry and acts like he/she does not want you to ask questions - run the other direction.

there is no longer a hole there and I did not get it filled by a dentist

It was the back left upper molar

I think most people should treat their gums as if they had periodontal disease, because they probably do. I have been using periogen for a month and have noticed improvement. I think just using the alkaline mouthwash repeatedly, (rinsing, spitting, repeat about 4 or 5 times), or in a waterpik can make a big difference with most people.

The italics and bolded sections in this article are mine, not the author’s. If you do a search on baking soda and abrasiveness, you must go through over 100 results before finding articles that will give real information. I think most CTs know by now that Internet searches are queued according to what authorities want you to know.

Benefits of Brushing Your Teeth with Baking Soda
“We have all heard about the many uses for baking soda, the natural cleaner. But have you tried brushing your teeth with it? Baking soda has been used as a tooth cleanser for over 150 years. Somehow it got the reputation as being abrasive, therefore detrimental to the enamel. Nothing could be farther from the truth. Toothpastes are rated on a scale from 0 – 200 according to their abrasiveness. This is called the RDA value or “Relative Dentin Abrasiveness”. Pure baking soda has an RDA of 7. The closest RDA to this is 35, which is Arm & Hammer baking soda toothpaste. The RDA’s for every other tooth paste on the market just go up from here. You can read more about toothpastes and their respective RDA values here.
There are many reasons for using baking soda for brushing teeth. It is not only the least abrasive substance to use but it also whitens teeth, removes stain, and is also an effective germ killer against the bacteria that cause tooth decay and gum disease.”
Read more at [link to rahbardentistry.blogspot.com]

I do mix my baking soda with other ingredients, including arrowroot.

I shouldn’t get started on fluoride, or pharmaceuticals, but will just suggest one article:
[link to www.fluoridation.com]
WHY I CHANGED MY MIND ABOUT WATER FLUORIDATION
Based on new research, a former fluoridation proponent changes his opinion about the alleged safety and benefits of water fluoridation
by JOHN COLQUHOUN, Perspectives in Biology and Medicine, 41, 1, Autumn 1997

I understand that hygienists do take many courses and learn much in their field. But I must suggest that some of that education is, shall we say, “one-sided”, and does not encourage the patent to think for themselves or use effective homeopathic remedies. It is also meant to centralize all authority with ADA/AMA, implying the average patient is incapable of responsible research and behavior. I could give examples of how my dentist interacted with me over a few of these matters, but I’m not going on there :)

From recent posts, sounds like the title of this thread is starting to live up to its name!
