Reason being that a headache sometimes is just a nervous response to the brain that something is wrong somewhere in the body.I have been reading about these very same symptoms that most women acquire after this type of operation and it is startling. Understanding what hormonal changes are going on in the body and the inability of the body to continue the process is important to know. Then the issue can be tackled from that stand point. Then I saw a neurologist who finally diagnosed me with trigeminal neuralgia. My whole face goes numb sometimes, and he prescribed me amitriptyline which worked like a charm but made me gain 20 pounds. I stopped taking it and still have pain but I just live with it. My migraines are not nearly as bad after a few months of it though. I finally stopped drinking soda/coffee too which seemed to actually help in my overall health. I drink one cup of coffee once a week if I feel I need an energy boost and without sugar and that's helped a lot too. Sugar makes me feel icky. |

A headache is only a symptom of something else. Migraines however can be quite complex and are triggered by a myriad of causes from something as simple as a lack of sleep to a brain tumour. They are certainly linked to allergies but to suggest that all migraines are linked to allergies is naive. |
