Nobody should be in Louisiana, but most people have nowhere else to go or money to get there if they did...also, and most obviously - they don't see anything happening, so in their minds there's no immediate threat. Nothing is burning or flooding or sinking or oozing, (actually it is, but it's not being reported in the news so it's not real to them)... just like Katrina wasn't real to them until 2 days before she hit land.

And then, authorities made sure it was too late to evacuate effectively, by the time they acknowledged the hurricane threat.

it's the same with this sinkhole situation. It doesn't serve TPTBs financially or otherwise to protect people.

Anyway, nobody's leaving, nobody will take it seriously until their kitchen faucets are blazing.

It's just the way we've become. Dumb, numb and waiting to be told what to do.

Worse than animals, we have no instincts left.
