If you look the animation with attention, you will see that the alleged expansion only works in the image if you make it disuniform (meaning that some places remain fixed while others move).If you blow a balloon, you will see it expanding in an uniform manner. Why would Earth expand otherwise in the animation? the answer is simple: just to support a flawed idea.

A good point but flawed in itself, a surface made of rubber will expand uniformly true but bedrock will not react the same way, it's going to tear and shift due to weight distribution, composition, location of the growth etc etc. Also, your body does not grow uniformly, one area grows as another stays dormant so why wouldn't the same be true for a celestial body...

I thought about this a few years back after looking at an ocean surface as well as regular map on google earth. The way the cracks are in the ocean and the way the continents have moved, it made more sense to me that the earth was expanding rather than shifting as the cause for many events on earth and placement of things.

Unfortunately the science doesn't seem to show this very much, at least now what I've read about.

One of my questions is why has science not delved into deeper, it's a very solid theory from what I can see so far so why is it being ignored?

If you understand HOW the expansion works it would be logical that planets expand with it. And the expansion, sorry to bust your bubble, is IN FACT very real and easily measurable by distinguising red and blue light.

So I wouldn't agree at all that the universe is shrinking, but the growing earth does seem to have some meaning.

Most things ignored, are things hidden from the truth. They try to keep every truth from us, so why not that one ?

you know how many meteors hit the earth every year? think of that X 100 million years.

what are meteors made out of? mostly water... you have mass incoming hitting the earth mostly water, and your surprised the mass gets bigger with water? and you attribute that to a living breathing thing to be worshiped?

so meteors hit the earth like me throwing clay at a ball of clay and space compresses like me squooshing the clay ball, and when it gets bigger you want to worship mother clay ball?

If the earth is expanding, how does that affect the rotation of the earth? Slow it down? What about the core?

I heard/read that the core was slowing down... would that mean it is also hardening? That would slow the rotational speed of the earth, if not stop it altogether... scary stuff.

No, how about this, the earth is expanding then how come it's the same distance from London to New York today as it was 200 years ago?

It's slowed by 24 seconds over the last 20yrs so has Mars and Saturn. Not sure about the core, we don't truly know what it is or what it's amde of, the THEORY that it's solid iron is just that, a theory, no one has ever been able to reach it, the ruskies came close but not close enough to show any hard evidence so it's all guesstimation.

How do you know that to be true? Who's taking the measurements? 200yrs is the blink of an eye geologically speaking, the last growth spurt was more than likely 65 million yrs ago so you may be entirely correct about the distance not changing in 200yrs, that doesn't however disprove anything.

One thing jumped out at me while watching that video.

Please bear with me:

1. According to the video, the land in the Israel area is ~10,000 years old.

2. There are theories that YHWH was a weaker "God" and was given dominion over a barren wasteland.

3. Certain scholars of the Abrahamic religions appear to cite the age of the earth at ~10,000 years.

What if "earth", in a Biblical sense, was just the area near Israel? Both this theory and creationists could both be technically correct.

Totally agree with this theory, er, or reality. Why does science blinker themselves at all costs? Is it ego or what? People should love the idea that the Earth is growing. I have thought this for as long as I can remember. When did common sense cleave away from scientific method? I agree with this Sin. Internal pressure is going to take the path of least resistance, just like the gases discussed in the LA sinkhole threads. That could be anywhere on the planet. Not uniform.

There is a theory that the additional mass required for expansion is coming from the sun. The sun is sending out large amounts of plasma and that plasma is "received" in the earth's core, which is also suppose to be plasma and the additional plasma from the sun in turn creates more dense mass which in turn is "pushed" to the surface at the weak points creating expansion.

I know that is a simplified and very non scientific statement but the core of what I understand it to be.

The whole solar system is suppose to be being affected by the suns energies and what ever else. (fluffy) So the system and perhaps the Galaxy is expanding together?

Haven't read all pages yet, but I think if this is true we should see more land. But as far as the things go, the water is growing instead and "takes from the land". See Florida,Venice, etc.
