Wow, great theory and wonderful explanation of that theory.
I've never seen or heard of this theory before but it does make perfect sense to me.
Given that the earth is growing, wouldn't that mean the oceans will be more spread out, lowering the water levels?
Currently there are so many people talking about ocean levels rising and islands being overtaken by the ocean, but that makes no sense if there is more area for the water to fill.
In my mind I'm seeing 1 cup of water full to the top.. no room for any more.. add more solid or water and it overflows (goes over islands)... but put that cup of water into 1 1/4 cup size container and the water is no where near the point of overflowing... so the endangered islands should be safe.
What do you think?
Quoting: my2centsworth Good point. Either a build up of pressure at the core or lower levels expanding but flexing may cause this. Also, take into account the melting polar caps and possible fluctuations in carbon dioxide based on plant density.
