Mountain men in general are a tough breed whether they are in America's Appalachians,the Swiss Alps, the Caucasus of Central Asia, or the mountains of southern Lebanon or Judaea.

The toughest mountain men of them all in the past hundred years would hands down be the Pashtun tribes of the Hindu Kush mountains. They kicked the British out of their mountains, then they kicked the Soviet invaders out too. Now they are kicking America and NATO's asses out as well.

They are the badass Pathans, the lost tribes of Bani Israel.
