Last night my Husband and I were flying home from Cancun. We had to make a stop in Georgia. We were landing around dusk and I saw the most beautiful red sunset I have ever seen. The sun and clouds were blood red with a layer or two of beautiful orange clouds. The sun itself was also blood red. It was stunningly beautiful. But, there were no Earth quake clouds.

noctilucent clouds?

We've had some of the most bizarre cloud formations I've ever seen over Texas for the last three to four years. We've had clouds similar to that, upside down cumulus clouds, and a variety of other formations they don't even have a name for...and we've been a the worst drought in recorded history during that time...

pretty sure i've seen these kinds of clouds down here quite a lot throughout my life. calm down!

i guess we do have a nickname of 'the shaky isles' though

very interesting. I was amazed with those black ridge type formations and patterns.

Is there anyone losing their cool here? I'm pretty sure we haven't seen these types of clouds here often at all. Hence the reason why it was filmed and put on the internet.

So...if its normal around your homeland, its probably because your minds are being fried by non-stop radiation.

There was a thread just like this yesterday from a guy in upstate NY. Other people from around the country like Arkansas and Texas said they saw the same thing...Red sky towards sunset.

Wow! Did you see some of the "earthquake cloud" pictures????

I had no idea. When were the video's taken? One article I read said they can appear more than a month before an earthquake! Will be very interesting to watch. Please keep us posted!!!!!

There are a lot of things going on in Bloomington these days. It is getting strange here!

The videos were taken today right after 5:45pm here in Bloomington, Indiana.

Yep...things seem to be getting increasingly weirder by the moment.

We too in Fla get awsome sunsets and sunrises all the time ,we have perfect weather, all the time. Some sunrises look like Vangouh was passing thru, the red , yellow, purple, pink, swirls in layers, hard to believe nature does this. Enjoy it!

In Florida they have an ocean which MIGHT contribute to such factors. However, I'm familiar with Florida and never, EVER saw a sky remotely like this. NOT ONCE.

I saw gorgeous sunsets and sunrises...but never, did I see the sky grid itself up in black flowing webbing.

Anyway...that's my two cents on that issue.

Earthquake activity has been pretty interesting this week...Tennessee, Indiana/Illinois border...I'll have to check the charts again, but seems to be leading up to something...wonder if the clouds are really an indicator? Hmmm

I grew up in the country. seen a lot of sunsets. These are normal.

We're not talking about the color of the sky. This is about cloud formation, not sunset, guys. :-)

I'm with OP on this, all the way! The clouds are like nothing I've ever seen in my 37 years.

The sunset is beautiful, but his post has not one thing to do with the sunset.
