When I talk with people in the 18-24 age range about communism, the most common remark I get is, "So what's wrong with communism?"

They are taught that it is just another form of government.

Of course they have tons of complaints about capitalism.

when i was in school, we were taught how communist countries enslaved, impoverished and killed their citizens.

I had to read the communist manifesto and write essays on the pros and cons, why it failed, and why it led to slavery and murder. I went to a private school, followed by a private university. But now after being done with school for a while, I'm returning to a public university to pursue a PhD, and I have to say these kids have zero knowledge of history or critical thinking skills (and I'm in the sciences).

I don't even think these kids know who wrote the communist manifesto, much less any history surrounding the events of communist countries. But they sure know all the "evils" of capitalism, and the horrible injustice of keeping what you earn.

it looks as tho, we/usa felt those commie countries were a threat to (our) capitalism. after ww's 1/2 we moved our mkts into those countries.

but now....the 180.....

its no longer about money - its about the worlds resources. whats left i.e.

Can't have anybody trampling on the rights of those who have vowed to destroy the United States! Nancy Pelosi would probably call it 'unamerican' to discriminate against Communists.

I guess since the Federal law was repealed in the early 1970's
it won't make much difference, altho I wonder how many other states have laws such as this and have enough sense to keep them.
