A question for those more knowledgable about scanners than I am. Do(can?) scanners pick up "skips" the way CB/HAM Radio's do? I remember being a kid, growing up South of Seattle, WA, & going to work with my Dad(who ALWAYS had his CB running in both his personal & work trucks) & he told me to be quiet so he could listen. He ended up getting in on the conversation & figured out he was talking to someone that was actually IN, not just FROM, South Carolina. I'll never forget that day or his taking the time to explain to me what a "skip" was.
