Christmas Tree Actually Inverted Cross??
I remember reading a few years ago that people began to use Christmas trees because they symbolize the cross, and the were displayed upside down. Now that never happens, so it the original use, the cross would not be inverted. Which I guess is the symbol of Satanism... Interesting bc there are so few crosses around for Christmas and many trees sitting upright.

Re: Christmas Tree Actually Inverted Cross??
the old pagan ways were to bring in a tree from the forest and care for it during the winter months... so that the forest spirits would bless you...

after some time... people began decorating said tree... it stayed in their house for months... why not spiff it up?

Then when Christianity became popular in the areas who had that practice... they had done it for so long... so why not continue bringing in a tree in the winter? It was pretty and tradition.

Thats the how the Christmas Tree got its start...

We still to this day continue on this ancient tradition.

Re: Christmas Tree Actually Inverted Cross??
the inverted cross is the cross of Saint Peter.

he didn't believe himself worthy of crucifixion in the same manner as Jesus, so he had his cross erected upside-down, or so the story goes...

The Christmas tree began as a twig or branch that was brought into the home of druids to ward of evil during the ancient pagan festival of Saturnalia which falls between Dec 17-23rd.

Re: Christmas Tree Actually Inverted Cross??
Satanic and anti-Christian imagery

The Cross of St. Peter has sometimes become associated with Satanism or anti-religious imagery, as it is used to represent the opposite of Christianity by inverting its primary symbol, the Latin Cross. As a result, the symbol has become popular within anti-religion groups and among some extreme metal musicians, notably black metal groups. In films such as Rosemary's Baby, Exorcist: The Beginning, The Exorcism of Emily Rose, Ghost, The Devil Inside, Paranormal Activity, and The Omen, inverted crosses are often displayed to represent Satan.

Actually,

The tree is noted in 2 Kings in the bible. They went into the forest, and worshiped and decorated the trees. It's really sad when you're American, and you finally realize you're the only country in the world which actually celebrates xmas in this manor :-/

And no, I do not buy xmas trees, and yes I try to warn my family and friends.

Re: Christmas Tree Actually Inverted Cross??
Pine trees would shed their needles in the fall early winter and in those beds of needles grew brightly colored Mushrooms with intensely halucinogenic properties. These would be collected and gathered and brought to people's homes by fat, bearded Nordic Men carrying them in sacks, hung up to dry over the hearth. Red, White, Green...the colors of Christmas.

A lot of these homes would be half buried in the ground for warmth/insulation and the gatherer would simply drop them down the chimmney.

Said gatherer would travel around by reindeer sleigh and would be "flying" (High as a kite) and Laughing like a maniac from contact with all these mushrooms.

The same is said about the reindeer who do actually eat the hullucinogenic mushrooms in nature.

As far as the inverted cross, I cannot tell you for sure - all I can say is that Jesus said he is at the cross, and for me this means at the cross roads. The cross road is when you come to a point where you must choose using your own self will, between sin or repenting from sin. (daily)

This is why Jesus is at the cross.

Anything else is a diversion from the evil one, but we have the gift from God, because the LORD gave us Jesus, and paid the ransom in blood for our sins.

So we are like criminals in jail for sins, but Jesus has paid our bond already. All we have to do is get up out the cell and walk out - we are free to go, and Jesus is there waiting for us at the Cross, to see if we gonna sin or if we choose not to live in sin.

I say, better safe then sorry as there is no shortage of youtube videos, showing atheists who died on the operating table or in a car accident, yet were revived and came back wtih a story. There is no shortage of these stories of what they saw while they were dead. Needless to say they are now all brothers in Christ our Lord.

Here are 20 of them on GLP alone: Thread: Videos of HELL and ETERNAL DAMNATION

The tree is a diversion. The evil one cares not what the diversion is, so long as you are not partaking in God's protocols. It could be santa, mushrooms, trees, and upside down wooden crosses, as long as it's not The Lord and His Loving Grace which saved us. Get it?

Interesting post. An inverted cross decorated with ornate trappings of the physical world, jewels and baubles, ostensibly bringing presents for the children as they sit at the foot of this inverted ornate cross and thank Satan/Santa for their stuff. Probably hits a bit too close to home for some to consider.

Yeah I thought it was strange, especially since I heard the trees used to be upside down, more representing the cross shape.

Thanks for the input.

Retarded! First off, the tree is the natural object. So a Cross would be an Inverted tree. The Christmas tree would not be an inverted cross. Secondly, get over it. That's shit is just retarded.
