A St. Petersburg, Fla., woman was arrested on a misdemeanor warrant Saturday after being photographed two months ago riding a manatee.

Florida's Manatee Sanctuary Act protects the endangered sea mammal and says in part, “It is unlawful for any person at any time, by any means, or in any manner intentionally or negligently to annoy, molest, harass, or disturb or attempt to molest, harass, or disturb any manatee.”

A San Antonio school district’s website was hacked over the weekend to protest its policy requiring students to wear microchip-embedded cards tracking their every move on campus.

A teenager purportedly working with the hacker group Anonymous said in an online statement that he took the site down because the Northside school district “is stripping away the privacy of students in your school.”

Starting this fall, all students at John Jay High School and Anson Jones Middle School are required to carry identification cards embedded with a microchip. They are tracked by the dozens of electronic readers installed in the schools’ ceiling panels.

It's not the number of cameras, it's the invasion of privacy and harassing people with them that makes it an issue...sorta like the hand in the face thing...not touching you so you can't get mad...

And no mention of the TSA violating the 4th amendment and generally treating people like suspected criminals, subject, and cattle every day in every city with a substantial airport.

I'm not beating up on Drudge. He had a lot of headlines about it a year or so ago. My point is that being treated like a subject, a suspected criminal, and processed like cattle has become acceptable for so many people that it doesn't even merrit a headline anymore unless some cancer patient has an emotional breakdown over having her prosthetic breast removed in public.

This isn't the country I grew up in.

And this is just what has been accepted up to this point in history. It scares me the type/ amount of conditioning that has taken place in order to pave the way for what is yet to come.
