We had half a chance in hell to improve/expand our joke of a subways system with Ford (one of his primary goals). Look at any subway map in the world, especially for a city the size (land and population) of Toronto. Everywhere else, it is a web-grid delivering proper coverage to the greater percentage of the city. In Toronto, it is a freaking cross; one line north-south, another east-west. What a bloody embarrassment!

Well, that's all in the past now. Development be damned. Let's build more condos and saturate our highways even more by cancelling public transportation routes instead of expanding them.

I think we have it better (day to day) economy and jobs wise than Americans and Europeans so I believe we have a sound asleep electorate. It took me a few years to wake up my family. The outlying areas like Scarborough already have existing, unused light rail corridors all over the place. We used to have an excellent light rail network in the old days. The land is still vacant and owned by the city, for christ sakes.
