| Anonymous Coward User ID: 27352798 11/26/2012 10:12 PM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | How is this doom? This is a great thing for California. Maybe it'll wash away all the leftist filth and end the drought. Quoting: Anonymous Coward 24957083 More like washing away all the Sacramento religious right mega churches. I live in Sacramento. I'd take the church crowd over the entitlement crowd any day. |

Just a typical west to east flow of moisture. I'd be more concerned if southern Cal, and LA/San Diego, were a part of any incoming big storm, because generally the really powerful storms are the ones that affect not just the northern half of the state but the southern half too. |

Then when i read it sounds just like the Ark storm for the west coast They are calling it "Atmospheric River" I mean could it really be the ARK STORM ? I think it is [link to www.weather.com] THIS IS THE ARK STORM STORM I never heard of this, I'll look more into it. But if that is the case good lord I think 400 billion is low and conservative. It's not even taking into account the ripple effect of the damages and lack of business and farming that will happen during all the flooding. California contributes about 12 to 14% to the GDP of the US every year. And is ranked the 8th largest GDP if it was a country by itself. Take that out of the equation and see the ripples effect the rest of the states and country as a whole. [link to www.s8int.com] “If you tell a lie big enough and keep repeating it, people will eventually come to believe it. The lie can be maintained only for such time as the State can shield the people from the political, economic and/or military consequences of the lie. It thus becomes vitally important for the State to use all of its powers to repress dissent, for the truth is the mortal enemy of the lie, and thus by extension, the truth is the greatest enemy of the State.” Quote from Joseph Goebbels Hitlers propaganda man. |

I happened to catch it on a weekend. They are in terrible shape, but the focus of the program was their probably failing during an earthquake. Just watching that, it was easy to see that many saturated levees are going to fail...they're going to collapse and all that water is going to surge downstream. Very not good. |

Very not good. I saw that too, it was titled the "crumbling of america' and went into detail about our aging infrastructure. It said that sacramento is highly susceptable to major flooding. This is definitly a storm to keep an eye on. |

Coulda.... Shoulda.... Woulda.... The Lord is my shepherd; I shall not want. 2 He maketh me to lie down in green pastures: he leadeth me beside the still waters. 3 He restoreth my soul: he leadeth me in the paths of righteousness for his name's sake. 4 Yea, though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death, I will fear no evil: for thou art with me; thy rod and thy staff they comfort me. 5 Thou preparest a table before me in the presence of mine enemies: thou anointest my head with oil; my cup runneth over. 6 Surely goodness and mercy shall follow me all the days of my life: and I will dwell in the house of the Lord for ever. |
