Well, it has arrived, today (29th) the UN is expected to pass a historic resolution recognizing Palestine (within the 1967 borders) as a nonmember observer state. We will se what happens. popcorn

Ho sheet, missed that part. It should be done on today's borders, anything else just gives them more to fight over.

LOL, I swear this is like Alice in Wonderland. I guess all those billions of petro-dollars Muslims spent on propaganda have completely robbed most people of common sense and basic history.

1) There is NO such thing as 1967 "borders". Even Resolution 242 doesn't refer to them as such.

2) Jordan has formally withdrawn ANY claims to "67" lines when it signed a peace treary with Israel in 1994.

3) UN General Assembly vote is a complete JOKE -- Abbas is no longer technically President of PA as his term long expired; he represents a TERROR entity in every sense of the word-- meaning it fails the basic criteria for acceptance into UN by UN's own charter.

4) PA is entirely subsisting on Israeli tax-payer and Western aid. That violates another major criterion for acceptance into UN.

5) League of Nations is THE only relevant and valid decision because UN is its direct legal "descendent".

6) Oslo Accords. Abbas like typical Muslim-Arab wants to have his cake and eat it too: Palestinian Authority is only legitimate because of Oslo agreement; which strictly prohibits unilateral UN moves. So Abbas wants to tear up Oslo -- not that Palestinians ever adhered to it what with 20 years of TERROR they elected to commit all while taking Israel's money every month...... and they expect Israel to, what? Do nothing?

Same old same old. Just Muslim Brotherhood can't wait to violate the Camp David Treaty. They just can't help themselves.

This only makes sense if Israel SECRETLY wants Abbas to do this -- i.e. Netanyahu doesn't have the balls to tell Israeli that he agrees to the 1967 nonsense, but if he presents it as fait accompli, as in "well what can we do, even Americans couldn't stop Abbas" ---- that way he may hoping to avoid the shitstorm from the Right in his party before the elections.

I mean, that would be kinda insane and against everything Likud has stood for... but who knows, anything is possible, Israeli leaders are just as corrupt & defeatist as their Western counterparts these days -- it's just that the stakes are higher in Levant,LOL.

I guess we'll see tomorrow.

Re: U.N vote on Palestine to go ahead in 48 hours, and there are no vetoes!
UN 181 defines the area and Palestine was a Nation by the time 12 months had expired, it doesn't matter that nobody recognized that fact then or now. Using any other date would be equal to accepting that UN 181 is a valid document. It is a valid as Saddam going into Kuwait, the whole act can be rejected plus the Arabs have an earlier pledge from Britain that said they would be given their own Nation at the end of WWI.

That would also mean Gaza goes back to the old borders and all the gas off-shore belongs to them. With all the back rent for Israel living on and making money off occupied lands a big cheque is now due in full(war crime)and as the settlements turn to dust with time the land then reverts back to being for Arabs to use as they wish.

I am pissed by the double standard when a child in the third world is not equal to a child in the West, and is better never to be born, or if it is born - to let die from other things. Or to suffer all his adult life. This world-the way we know it goes to end soon one way or another. It is just intolerable for most of its citizens, be they children or adult. mark my words

hf
 Quoting: Éireann

I don't think they let you teach history if you're under 18 yo.

Here's the thing: the points & historical facts I bring up in this thread are absolute BASICS, things that are beyond any reasonable debate.

Or, rather they would be in a just, fair-minded world...

It's a sad testament to the Orwellian Power of decades worth of massive Muslim-Marxist oil-funded PROPAGANDA... that gullible, well-meaning people are totally captured by the utterly phony, fraudulent "Palestinain" narrative.

What's even worse, even for those who don't care about 5.8 million Jews struggle against 250 million blood-thirsty Arab-Muslim barabarians that surround them.....truth is: that Israel is just a canary in the coal-mine.

Once Israel falls, YOU/WE are all next. The Muslim-Marxist Beast will only get hungrier -- for land, for power, for geo-political influence, for attention.

For instance, if it's OK for phony-baloney squatters & nomads like Palestinians to co-opt, take-over the 3,000+ year biblical, historical, spiritual, archeological Jewish culture and hard work draining swamps, making desert bloom and paying sometimes 5 times the market value of the previously mostly desolate land .....So if all that's OK, then

1) Why not Native Americans get weapons, charismatic leaders, funding from some "Qaddafi" wannabe overseas.... and start attacking the US and Canada?

2) Why shouldn't Black people be able to sue for TRILIONS of dollars for centuries of slavery?

3) Why shouldn't Mexicans start guerilla war against US beause of California, Arizona, Texas? Because some piece of paper signd by some Mexican leader almost 200 years ago withdraws their claims? So what? Why shoould 21st century Mexicans abide by it? They didn't vote to concede Texas 200 years ago? Much like Hezbollah in Lebanon says it doesn't recognize (Sunni) Lebanese Prime Minister's agreement with Cyprus and Israel vis-a-vis maritime borders.... same way La Raza or some other charismatic Mexican leader in the Mexican Malcolm X or Mexican Barack Obama mold can come along and insist that "Imperialist" America either return those territories or get ready for slow war of attrition....

Etc, etc, etc.

By recognizing Palestine, they are basically REWARDING TERROR and creating quasi-legal PRECEDENT for future non-state actor groups to basically do whatevert they fuck they want under pretext of "freedom-fighting" or "resistance".

It only sounds far-fetched because unlike the tiny, desert-based Israel, US or Russia or Western Europe are big, rich and powerful so as to render any such guerilla resistance against them ineffective.

But what if I told you, that future guerilla/terror groups will have DIRTY BOMBS and non-nuclear EMP devices that will "level" the playing field? Ah you'll sing a different tune, I bet. Once the future (America) Hamas or La Raza du jour will be able to single-handedly crash even a juggernaut economy like the US or EU -- if their silly demands aren't met... trust me, y'all will sing a different tune and will remember Israel fondly...

That's why people should support Israel. Not so much because of sympathy for the Jews because of Holocaust or whatever... but mainly because Israel is an OUTPOST OF ADVANCED WESTERN CIVILIZATION. Once it falls, we're all next. No exaggeration or over-dramatization here.

It's 100% true.

For the Nth time...

there is NO veto in the UN General Assembly vote. It's a straight-up-and-down vote, but UNGA cannot legally grant full membership rights.

There IS veto in the UN Security Council vote and only exercisable by the big 5 powers. Palestinians know this, so they are not applying in the Security Council so as to not force Obama to veto, thus embarassing himself in front of his Muslim-Marxist friends all over the world.

Which is why the famous Abba Eban quote is appropo: "If Algeria were tp introduce a [UN General Assembly] Resolution declaring that the world is flat and that Israel was the one who flattened it, it would pass with 150 votes and 22 abstentions"
