I never watch more than 45 minutes to an hour a week of teevee. Then it's history or the documentary channel or something.

I worked in the film business in Hollyweird for 14 years. Video's, tons of commercials, features... It paid the bills really well, and I didn't watch teevee the whole time.

How many of these sitcoms would survive without a laugh track? NOBODY would know when to laugh, I promise. Seinfeld, the WORST most predictable and lame of all, Kelsey Grammar? Oh just gimme a break. I don't know what's popular now, and i don't want to. The more they keep lowering the bar on creativity, the easier it becomes for the execs to produce and sell the garbage to the masses. The same with popular music.

(I enjoyed working the commercials the most. Micelob, Pepsi, Budweiser, all the old Bartles and james and all big budget productions, And all the huge budget, seen only once super bowl spots.) there was times I could pay my my monthly mortgage with three days pay, or two days and equipment rentals. If the Internet and youtube has taught us anything, it's that no matter how twisted, obscure, whatever the subject is - there are people that can identify with it and enjoy watching things they can relate to.

The people who I would expect to not like this show, are the people who have old-fashioned beliefs and have lived a clean lifestyle. Personally, I don't think there's anything wrong with that at all. If anything, I applaud you for not giving into temptation.

With that being said however.. Those people are in the minority. If you don't like the show, the solution is simple. Don't watch it.

But judging others because they enjoy watching a show that they can relate to - either on an experience level, or by living vicariously through the characters on the show is just ignorant.

Being someone who has lived a lifestyle of sex, drugs, and alcohol etc.. It just makes the subject matter that much funnier to me. Do I condone drug use? No.

But even though I don't condone it, that doesn't mean I think it shouldn't be talked about, or labeled as "filth". Vices are just another part of human nature - and do not fool yourself.. Everyone has their vices. Some are just more socially acceptable than others. Luck of the draw

I don't even know why I'm ranting about this. The show can be cancelled tomorrow and I wouldn't even care. I think it just irritates me that people come to such crazy conclusions because they seem to have a holier than thou attitude.

I think it is hilarious when religious tards or people with sticks up their butt complain about the hollywood agenda, LOL. If they had a bit of smarts to them, they would realize that movies, and tv shows are made to MAKE MONEY. They are no different than ANY other business in this entire world. Whatever can make someone a buck, WILL be exploited.

With that in mind.....our corporations, hollywood, entertainment, sports, NEWS, all of these things and much more are nothing but a reflection of humanity itself. If humans weren't interested in the filth on TV, then you better believe you wouldn't find a single channel with it on. The ONLY reason there is so much garbage on television, is because that is what the masses want.

Why? Because the best most of us can hope for, is to have a family, a dead end job, a mortgage/house, and maybe a few kids. Therefore, we like to escape this boring world, and explore our fantasies via video games, sports, television, sex, drugs, hobbies, you name it.


Personally, I'm not much of a television guy, but I'm entirely neutral on the subject. I don't blame hollywood for the crap that gets put out. They are just feeding the masses what the masses want.

He has been in television even before the sitcom. He started on the show at like 8 years old. His parents are responsible. I read that he signed a contract 2 years ago which means if he wasn't an adult, again his parents are responsible. He has watched Charlie Sheen ruin his body with drugs to the point rumor has it he has lost his teeth. Charlie made his choices as an adult. Now that the kid has grown up he has the right to make his choices also. This sounds like a case of a kid with stage parents who pushed him to stay with the show for the money.
