Tell me... Where does the rock fall on the political spectrum? Or the bird, the lily?

You are being deliberately evasive.
Explain your lifestyle....how you live and like to live...and stop with the animal metaphors.

Otherwise....you are clearly just trying to hide what you really are.

Honestly I'm not sure why you want to know so bad, does it have anything to do with my original topic? I'm bored right now so I thought I'd drop by GLP and see if anyone was up for a discussion about what was on my mind at the time.

Really it doesn't matter to me, if you feel I'm hiding something then so be it, but if I were in the mood to discuss my politics then perhaps I would've made such my original topic.

You see, like I said, I wanted to discuss the act of shilling. Personally I find that politically charged discussions end up rather divisive and confrontational, perhaps I'm trying to avoid such a thing here.

 Quoting: Anonymous Coward 19588417

No bees use flowers to make honey. That makes them Left winged communists.

Interesting side story. I have a friend whos dad and him are amature bee keepers. When bees search for pollen they have a certain radius in which they gather. Well the particular hive that my friends dad had was within range of A local zoo that has a botanical garden. Well It was suspected that the bees were gathering from this garden because the honey that was harvested was so out of this world it was incredible. Words can not describe it. So sweet and floral. Imagine a honey that was derived from plants from around the world and then realize that the taste you just felt is nothing compared to the deliciousness.

So to warp it all up The above is my political view.

I've put a lot of thought into my 'political' views and I can assure you that they are not on any grid that I am aware of. I would prefer not to get into my 'political' views at this time.

For the hell of it though let's just say that if the bird's, ant's, bee's, and rock's way of life were a political ideology mine would probably be rather similar.
 Quoting: Anonymous Coward 19588417

As you can see I clearly stated that I have political views, only that I don't affiliate myself with either the left wing or the right wing. Why call me a liar when I clearly stated my honest opinion?

Honestly I don't know why you're so hung up on this. I don't want to get into some type of political argument with you and now that's being turned into an argument. I'm pretty sure the two of us will disagree regarding politics, I respect your freedom to have an opinion and simply don't want to get into a confrontation about it right now. Why on Earth is there something wrong with that?

Now back to the topic at hand,
I too believe in a collective consciousness but I think one has to ask the question Is it the humans that Make up the collective conscousness or are we just able to choose which side of the fence we are on.

We might differ as to what we consider collective consciousness. While it is true that many tune in to the same information outlets to formulate their opinions and ideas as to what they are and where they are, they can choose not to tune in. They can choose to formulate their own opinion rather than accept the opinion of the man in a white lab coat.

Depending on how one defines tune in you could say that I do, I watch and listen. I read many different outlets from around the world, but I have yet to find someone I agree with.

They do come in all forms, not just from the government. Forums present a lucrative advertising medium. Companies have found that the absolute best form of advertisement is word of mouth. People are more likely to trust someone that's not a paid actor so paying people to come to a variety of forums posing as just another poster and crediting a particular product, product type or reason to buy such product lines drives quite a bit of sales.
 Quoting: Anonymous Coward 19588417

It works in numerous ways though. You might find someone paid by Apple to go to forums bashing Windows 8 or someone paid by a gun salesman to stoke paranoia in regards to gun legislation and drive gun sales up.

No, but that's what I thought you were saying, apparently I was incorrect. There is some truth to that though, I don't think they make up the collective, but perhaps they make up the illusionary collective or false collective.

It's more than media, though there is a big contribution there. Throughout one's schooling their are unable to stray from what I could call the collective agreement upon that which is right. Teachers generally must teach what they are told to teach and if the student stays outside of the realm of collectively agreed upon as right they are punished. So the child grows up and learns that they will be punished should they formulate an opinion that falls outside the realm of already formulated.

Re: Logic Behind the Existence of Shills
I can assure you that the threat is real too. The punishment factor. A lot of people don't like it when someone disagrees with them. They're afraid of failure and thus afraid of being wrong. To protect themselves from realizing a failure they, in many cases, lash out and sometimes violently.

I can attest from personal experience, when everyone disagrees with you they will hurt you. They will do everything in their power to punish you, to stop you from being different. They are afraid of their own frailty, call it a fear of inadequacy. They are afraid of being wrong because they've been taught that being wrong or making a mistake is a severely punishable offense.

"If you are wrong you will never amount to anything" they say, they are told. They grow and are extremely afraid of making a mistake or being in the state of incorrectness. They are afraid of failure because they've been told if they fail they are worthless and useless. They seek to blind themselves to their own failures and blind others to their failures. They do not want to believe themselves to be worthless or useless and they do not want others to believe such either.

Re: Logic Behind the Existence of Shills
By and large it's not actually a question of being right or wrong. Who's to say what is right? The collective agreement? Honestly they're not terribly bright, although they certainly think they are most of the time. The collective agreement once taught that the world was flat. It once taught that the cure for a headache was to drill a whole in the head to let the demons out.

The collective agreement always thinks it's right and refuses to let others disagree peacefully. Inevitably the collective agreement is proven wrong simply because it is, the truth of that matter is always inevitable because the truth is what exists and what is agreed upon is only thought to exist.

I would agree with the above posts 100 percent except for the fact that I feel there is a definite right and wrong. Every decision carries behind it an emotion or will. Either for the benefit of others or the benefit of ones self. IT takes a sharp mind to define the two because of the indoctrination of our society. More so it takes something outside of ourselves.

If you choose to sit back and not act that is worse than if you were to choose to go with the flow.

To be honest It is much more complicated and convoluted in my brain than that, and to type it out would require a wall of texts on topics that are completely beside the point.

BTW. I enjoyed our conversation. It took me so long to respond because I was not sure how to respond to your posts. You seem to have an understanding of the world that many on here just do not have. It is 2am where I am from and I have to work at 10 tomorrow So I am going to try and get some sleep. cheers

Re: Logic Behind the Existence of Shills
There is a correct and incorrect, but in regards to punishing one for theoretically being incorrect is in itself incorrect in my opinion. You see until we know absolutely everything there is no way to know for sure who or what is correct. The only right thing to do in my opinion is acknowledge that although one might have an opinion regarding what is correct, they might be incorrect and there's a good chance it may be a very long time until we know for sure.

In the past we, as a race, have really shot ourselves in the foot when we punished those for doing, saying or believing things believed to be false when it was later discovered to likely be true. Galileo for instance, while he wasn't exactly correct, his view progressed our understanding and this progression may have been much quicker if he wasn't fought and suppressed every step of the way.

Who said anything about punishment? I look at life as a journey and for me to judge and punish someone for their particular beliefs and feelings at any given time is ridiculous. The things I know now, or think I know, are entirely different then the things I knew 10 years ago. In fact I learn from my mistakes much better than what I am told. Such is life I guess. I enjoy being wrong (well, more of a love hate relationship) because the revelation that comes with my faults is far more life changing than anything I will ever be told.

This Time I am serious. I am going to bed.

I said something about punishment. I agree, we can all learn from our mistakes, but in todays world I find it common that a person desire to hide them, forget them and forgo the chance to learn from them because they fear what punishment may come from those who would learn of the mistake and seek some form of retribution, be it emotional or physical. You might slip up at work and get a 'write up' or docked pay, so you hide it in an attempt to forgo whatever punishment might arise.

In truth, who are they to issue "justice" as if they had any idea what they were talking about.
