You aren't truly free until you face your own death and no longer fear it. Since I've done this I'm amused by other peoples desperate avoidence of their own death and the whole topic of death.

I faced it and realized that I as a spirit it's impossible for me to die. My physical body will but it's just like shedding your skin. If I play my cards right my death will be a transition to a better existence.

If I'm wrong about being a spiritual being then nothing matters anyway.

High dose pshychedelics had a lot to do with it as well. When you trip super hard the unbelievably intense paranoia convinces you that you are about to die. It's such an intense unavoidable realization that you either deal with it or lose your mind.

Fear of dying?

LOL, if it wouldn't cost my life insurance money for my family I'd check out tomorrow.

As wood Allen says,
"I'm not afraid of dying I just don't want to be there when it happens" LOL

I'm getting there too. I always admired the "live free or die" types. Who knew I would be making that choice. I have a cut on my arm that hasn't closed in 2 days. It's slowly healing but it is a nasty cut. I'm close.

All men die. Not all men live.

I understand though. It took me many years, but I lost my fear too and life makes more sense now.

Who can not be afraid to die? It is something unknown regardless what anyone tells you. It is a very indivagile thing.

If you've been tortured enough over the course of your lifetime, in different ways, for different reasons, death becomes an appealing option. Why fear what you want?

I couldn't agree more. The anticipation of death is much worse than death itself!

:Full-of-win:
 Quoting: Chip

Hopefully...there are some really bad ways to go, that take a little while.

So even if you really fear the pain of dying by getting eaten by sharks but really get in a major motor vehicle accident, catch on fire, burn for 20 seconds, jump off a bridge about 40 feet into ice cold water and then get eaten by a shark, the death itself would be worse than the anticipation of the death.

But generally, you are correct.

It is better to let the world go out of control so they can see their own fate just as I did 20 years ago
