Amazon.com is having massive problems right now, mainly in reporting things rapidly, but also in how they push certain products over others, aiming to get high ticket items in front of peoples faces this year.

I have behind the scenes info, and the problems are huge. Not reporting sales, or updating shows on time. (It doesn't seem like a big deal, but the more people that get shown a product, the more likely someone is to buy it. The more you sell, supposedly, the more they show people your things. Except they really aren't doing that and haven't been for months.)

My thought is that they over-reached, and did it foolishly during a depression, so are now trying to hold sales for several hours from the reports in order to influence what will sell, in order to make them the highest amount of money at any given moment.

It doesn't chock me that they might also be trying gimmicks to increase sales.
